Events | Hopdoddy to Raise Funds for Hurricane Harvey Relief all September

Posted on: August 30th, 2017 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Hopdoddy Burger Bar is raising funds for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund throughout the month of September through their Goodnight for a Good Cause program.

HOPDODDY RAISING FUNDS FOR HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF THIS SEPTEMBERThe devastation that Hurricane Harvey has brought to the Houston area of Texas is inconceivable for us here in Arizona. As of Monday, 39.72 inches of rain had fallen, according to Weather.com, with an estimation that 50 inches will fall before all is said and done. The idea of all of that loss inspired my family to go out and purchase items that will soon be on their way to Houston. There are several community Facebook pages that are organizing similar drives, so if you want to help a quick search will lead you to places in your area.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar has another way that you can help. If you’re familiar with the brand, you likely know that they are very committed to supporting the communities in which their restaurants are located. While normally regional markets select a local beneficiary for their monthly Goodnight for a Good Cause Burgers, for the entire month of September, the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will be the beneficiary for all Hopdoddy locations.

Goodnight/Good Cause to Benefit Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

On September 4th and 5th, if you visit any Hopdoddy location and order the Goodnight/Good Cause burger, the restaurant will donate all of the proceeds to Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Tito’s Handmade Vodka is getting in on the cause as well. They have vowed to donate $1, up to $10,000, for every drink sold made with Tito’s during those two days as well.

In addition to that two-day deal, throughout September $1 from every Goodnight/Good Cause burger will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

These types of fundraising efforts have proven to be incredibly successful. Just 2 years ago, Hopdoddy was able to raise a little over $44,000 to benefit the Wimbley flood victims. The only difference with the Hurricane Harvey relief effort is that all 20 locations will be participating.

It may not seem like you’re doing much by just ordering a burger or a milkshake, but it’s like that Rachel Platten song; “Like a small boat on the ocean, sending big waves into motion.”
