Happy Hour Beat | Healthy and Happy at Pita Jungle
With several locations across the Valley and the state, Pita Jungle is known for its fresh and healthy Mediterranean fare with plenty of options to meet vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs. I have been there for lunch several times and always enjoy the friendly service and variety of menu items, from creamy dips and lavosh pizzas to salads and gyros. I can’t resist the crispy pita chips, an ideal accompaniment to Pita Jungle’s hummus and dips.
I hadn’t thought of Pita Jungle as a place for happy hour but I was pleased to discover that happy hour is available at all Pita Jungle locations from 3pm until 6pm daily, and some locations offer reverse happy hour from 9pm until close. I appreciate a happy hour that extends to the weekends.
I also appreciate a happy hour menu that has a wide selection of food and beverage options. Pita Jungle’s happy hour menu offers several tapas, including some of the menu’s most popular items in smaller quantities at smaller prices. Happy hour tapas include the hummus trio (original, roasted bell pepper and cilantro jalapeno), garlic dip and tzatziki for $1.50 each; falafel and dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) for $2; and a selection of sliders for $3.25 each including chipotle black bean, chicken and kafta (beef and pomegranate molasses patty), and a salmon slider for $4. Pita pizza options for $5 include spinach and pesto, glazed chicken and chipotle chicken. Other happy hour bites include garlic lemon chicken with pine nuts for $2.50, sautéed scallops for $3 and garlic shrimp in tomato Ajo sauce for $3.50.
Pita Jungle’s happy hour also includes $1 off draft and bottled beer, $2 off select glasses of wine, and special pricing on the house margarita and house sangria. During happy hour, signature cocktails are $2 off. Pita Jungle recently introduced some refreshing new cocktails including the Mediterranean Mule made with fig vodka and ginger beer, and the Fuzzy Lemon made with peach vodka, black raspberry liqueur and tropical black tea.
Although each Pita Jungle location is different, they all feature a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Each Pita Jungle location is decorated with local art, most of which is available for sale.
People love Pita Jungle for its healthy fare and variety. It is great for families, business lunches and now you know it has a robust happy hour with lots of fresh and fun options seven days a week.
