Delight in the first-ever taste of Huss Brewing Co.‘s new flagship IPA thisSaturday, July 15 at 4 pm at the Huss Brewing Co. Taproom at Uptown Plaza. Join Huss owners Leah and Jeff Huss as they introduce Huss’ Copper State IPA, a tribute to the flavors, the history and most important the beer drinkers of the Grand Canyon State. That’s because beer lovers statewide helped craft this delicious Indian Pale Ale, even if they didn’t know it. Yes, Huss has been secretly testing out this all-new beer for over a year, sending out batches of experimental beers under the “XP” moniker, and then receiving feedback from bars, restaurants and the general public on what flavors they liked or didn’t. Next, Huss made three different versions of this ‘crowd–sourced‘ IPA before settling on the final result, a glorious copper-hued brew and well–balanced, lighter drinking IPA!

Handcrafted with Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe hops to provide a juicy–yet–dry tropical fruit flavor with great bitterness, this highly drinkable and enjoyable IPA weighs in at an approachable 6.5% a.b.v. As for the name, it’s a salute to Arizona’s famed Five C’s: Citrus, Cattle, Cotton, Climate and Copper, and represents what Huss Brewing is all about: Family Owned, Locally Brewed and Proudly Independent.

“We’re probably best known for our easy drinking styles of beer like Scottsdale Blonde and Orange Blossom, so our goal was to create a full flavored IPA that was more approachable yet still dry and crisp and easy to drink,” says co-owner and head brewer, Jeff Huss.

Huss Brewing Co.’s Copper State IPA will be available at both Huss taprooms in Tempe and Phoenix after July 15, available at bars and restaurants statewide at the end of August, and available in 6 packs of cans just in time for Labor Day.
