The scorching summer heat is upon us, which means it’s the ideal time of year to experience seasonal shakeups. Using some of the season’s finest produce, Okra Cookhouse & Cocktails is creating an all-new menu of Southern inspired, bright and light favorites to defeat the heat all summer long.
Okra Cookhouse & Cocktails New Summer Dishes
Summer is the perfect occasion to delight in a novel spin on Okra’s signature Southern fired chicken. Available with either a two- or three-pieces plus your selection of a side, order Okra’s Fried chicken one of five ways including straight up, drenched in gravy, or covered with Chow Chow (a flavorful and spicy vegetable relish) & Honey. Plus, Okra still tempts with its popular Tennessee Hot or Umbrian-sauced chicken.
Furthermore, savor Okra’s expanded variety of bigs for the summer season, including Pork Chop with green tomato and stone fruit panzanella and Salmon with succotash and peanut romesco for a refreshing summertime treat. In addition, you’re invited to celebrate the season’s generosity with fresh vegetable dishes including Fried Green Tomatoes with pickle remoulade, Okra with fermented chilies and peanut hummus. Plus, start off with spicy Buffalo Octopus or Shaved Catfish with fries and pickle vinaigrette.
Finish off your feast with a summertime classic, Peach Cobbler with buttermilk ice cream or Okra’s signature Canned Biscuit Doughnut with Salted Caramel sauce. Pair it all with Okra’s award-winning cocktail program featuring mixologist Micah Olson’s collection of cocktails including refreshing cocktails such as the So Fresh So Clean, direct cocktails such as the Risky Business and five Julep varieties.
