Celebrate Cocktails and Dessert with the Ladies of Kai Restaurant

Posted on: August 17th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

What lady doesn’t love cocktails and dessert? While I am sure that there are some out there, majority rules and Kai restaurant respects that! The Ladies of Kai is a special new series that celebrates these things as well as the immense talent held by Pastry Chef Audrey Enriquez and Mixologist Liberty Quihuis.

Celebrate Cocktails and Dessert with the Ladies of Kai RestaurantThese ladies have created an imaginative and indulgent five-course dessert and cocktail adventure, celebrating their refined and innovative palates. The three part series will begin on August 19th (which I appreciate because it is my birthday and I happen to love both cocktails and dessert!). Part two and three will take place on October 13th and December 1st, respectively. The duo will offer completely different menus at each of the events, making each evening a unique experience.

The Director of Food and Beverage at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, Vipin Menon, is honored to have Enriquez and Quihuis at Kai.  “These two women thrive in this competitive industry and always aim to innovate in their respective specialties.”  Menon explains, “The ‘Ladies of Kai’ series is an opportunity to showcase the talent of Kai’s female artisans and offer an event unlike any other in the Valley.”

What can you expect from the Ladies of Kai Restaurant series?

Menu highlights from the first “Ladies of Kai” include; 60-day corn tres leches cake crafted with Ramona Farms 60 day corn pinole, corn horchata, pickled strawberries and candied pepitas paired alongside a hibiscus infused vanilla vodka cocktail with Chambord, Luxardo cherry, charred orange, and egg white.  A sophisticated chocolate and peanut butter course with Manjari mole custard, peanut butter, and foie gras mousse, toasted sesame ice cream, finger lime caviar and smoked peanut praline will pair together with Disaronno, Dutch chocolate vodka, red peppercorn, cardamom, molasses, lime and a salted caramel rim.

I love cocktails and dessert! Give me the details on how to attend!

Each evening in the series will begin by inviting guests to a private reception with sweet hors d’oeuvres at 7:30 p.m. followed by seating at 8:00 p.m.  The events are offered to a limited number of guests and will be priced at $65 per person.  To secure your reservation, please call 602-385-5726 and reference “Ladies of Kai.”
