The Tempe location will open on Friday, January 27 at 1015 S Rural Rd., Ste 104 Tempe, Arizona, 85281, at 11:00 a.m., near Arizona State University, and the first 100 guests in line will receive a free t-shirt. Tasty Mediterranean food and a free t-shirt? This is a no brainer!

“We are excited about our Tempe location for several factors. One reason is because our brand was in-part made famous by college kids from NYU, LaGuardia, and Columbia who were looking for a filling, affordable, and tasty meal and Arizona State University is a perfect counterpart on the west coast. And secondly on a personal level, ASU is my alma mater and I have a lot of love for the school, fraternities and associations I was a part of,” said franchisee AJ Ahmad.

Finding a great Mediterranean restaurant in the Valley, and while there are definitely some shining stars creating unique and diverse dishes, can be a bit daunting and laborious. So what do you do when you are looking for a perfectly crafted gyro sandwich or chicken platter? Soon there will be no question. The Halal Guys Phoenix location is coming!

As one of the most popular food carts in New York City for more than 25 years, the success of The Halal Guys has led to multiple brick-and-mortar stores throughout the United States. These successful spots are known for out-the-door-lines and a menu that offers a diverse range of Middle Eastern dishes. This Mediterranean restaurant concept has already received a large level of success in Houston, Chicago, and Southern California and they are looking for similar success in our own backyard.

The fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant will feature chicken, gyro and falafel platters as well as chicken, gyro and falafel sandwiches. You can get sides like fries, hummus or tahini with pita or extra sauce. Sweeten your meal with a serving of baklava.

“We are very excited to enter the Arizona market for many reasons. Our goal is to get people to ditch burgers for something more unique and with higher quality. The Halal Guys have a cult-like following across the country and we can’t wait to bring that energy to Arizona,” said franchisee AJ Ahmad.
