Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa: Romance Awaits

Indulge in the Valley’s premier culinary experience offered at Kai restaurant at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa.  As Arizona’s only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond rated restaurant, the indigenous fare and breathtaking views will make this year’s Valentine’s Day your most memorable yet.

Chef de Cuisine, Ryan Swanson has prepared an exquisite seven-course prix-fixe tasting menu to be offered on Saturday, February 13th.  This specialty menu will be offered at $175 per person with wine parings selected by Sommelier and Wine Director Kevin Lewis available at $75 per person.

Exclusive menu highlights include; Hudson Valley foie gras and champagne terrine, almond milk froth, Happy Bear honey and mesquite brioche.  A second course of “Lobster and Caviar” includes wattle seed & vanilla poached lobster, durum berry risotto, caramel goat cheese, burnt squash crème and pinoles.  The culinary masterpiece to follow is a juniper and rosemary smoked squab breast with black trumpets, Swiss chard, parsnip velouté and dried wolf berry corn bread.

The dining journey would not be complete without a specialty dessert appropriately titled “Roses are Red,” composed of a vanilla rose petal cake, Kiawe white honey, sparkling rose and raspberry sorbet, lychee gel and crystallized rose petals.

Ko’sin restaurant will offer a four-course prix-fixe menu on Sunday, February 14th from 5:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. featuring several delicious entrée and dessert selections served with exquisite views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains.  The prix-fixe menu is $80 or $72 for seniors.  Entrée highlights include; petite filet mignon and Sea of Cortez prawns accompanied by roasted shallot potato puree, winter vegetables and a sundried tomato-béarnaise, and stuffed lamb-chetta with fontina cheese, spinach red pepper potato puree and Dijon mustard cream.  Dessert offerings to include an indulgent dark chocolate brownie, kirsh namelaka, confit cherries and candied almonds or a brown butter cake with sea salt caramel, passion fruit bavarois, hazelnut praline crunch and Gianduja ganache.
