Bar Divided Brunch at The Lodge

Posted on: January 20th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

If your household is anything like mine, football is a really big deal. We have followed the Arizona Cardinals for years; I was here in 1988 when the (then Phoenix) Cardinals played their first season in Arizona and my husband has been following them since he moved here in his 20’s. There have been some major ups and downs as a fan, but the one thing that Cardinals fans have in common is heart. There are very few fair-weather fans, and with good reason; some seasons were hard to get through. They are called the “Cardiac Cards” for a reason.Arizona Cardinals Patrick Peterson

This season has been phenomenal and we are on the road to that big game in San Francisco. The only thing standing in our way is the NFC Championship game this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. If you are looking for the perfect spot to watch the game, a place that promises high energy, a healthy amount of tension and a lot of fabulous game day food head to The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen in Downtown Tempe.

Did you know that the one of the restaurant owners is Carolina Panthers own Jared Allen along with Executive Chef Aaron May? With reports of a broken bone in his foot, it is unlikely at this time that Jared will be taking to the field on Sunday, but that won’t stop the action at The Lodge. They are having a “Bar Divided” Brunch and party for fans before the game starts at 4:40pm.

On Jan. 24, The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen will be open from 11 am to 2 pm for brunch with menu items like the Brunch Burger ($12) and Lumberjack French Toast ($8.50) and offer $4 mimosas and $7 Blood Marys for Cardinals and Panthers fans. The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen features a large patio and lounge area with entertainment including 30 televisions for a sports viewing experience and interactive games such as Jenga, corn hole, darts, and bocce ball.

It’s sure to be a great game and the atmosphere at The Lodge will certainly add to the fun of the day. Wherever you watch the game, make sure to wear your team colors (preferably Cardinal Red) and root on our home team to clinch their spot in the Game of the Year!
