Chef’s Table: Chef Rich Hinojosa
In addition to being a stellar Chef with a rich Arizona resume, Executive Chef Richard Hinojosa is also a devoted husband and father. I can imagine that it must be hard after a week of being on your feet and cooking your heart out to come home and even think about cooking.
After a long day at The Wigwam’s family of restaurants, Chef Hinojosa makes sure that he makes time for his family and what better way than creating a healthy and delightful meal, making memories and happy bellies.
Chef Richard Hinojosa recently found himself home on a weeknight and based on the requests of his family made a very special dinner. “Thursday night was my only dinner at home this week, My wife and kids all wanted gnocchi (that is their absolute favorite). I made potato gnocchi, roasted chicken, mushrooms, spinach and broccoli with a sage cream sauce. I would suggest drinking a very clean style of Chardonnay with it, such as a Chablis. My older daughter volunteered a beverage pairing suggestion. Eggnog. She thought the sage would work well with the nutmeg in the eggnog. Hahaha! Pretty funny!”
It sounds like this talented father has shared his love of cooking with his daughter. She may give him a run for his money someday soon!
