If you ever find yourself wanting for something to do on the weekends, you will not be wanting for options this weekend. There are oodles of things to do and you are going to have some hard decisions to make. That, or put some serious mileage on your car!

Here are just a few events to choose from:

TASTE Chandler Culinary FestivalTASTE: Chandler’s Culinary Festival

The festival runs from 6 pm until 10 pm and will feature over 20 local area restaurants. If you purchase your tickets before the event you can get them for $65 a piece or $80 at the gate the day of the event. Couples can get tickets for $130, but only before the event. Your ticket will provide you with unlimited food, 12 drink tickets along with entertainment all night long. Attendees of the festival can put in their vote for their favorite restaurant offering of the night and the winners will be announced on Monday, October 27th.

Go lb. Salt Releases their Sriracha Bacongo lb. salt Sriracha Bacon

With the success of go lb. salt’s Sriracha salt and seasonings released this past summer came a number of requests from customers to make a Srirach Bacon. Well, ask and you shall receive! “We are happy to be the only bacon producer in the country with a product like this. It’s got an incredible flavor profile and just the right amount of heat,” said go lb. salt Co-Founder Aaron Eckburg.

Sriracha is the third Nationally exclusive flavor of this dry cured and hand crafted bacon in the “Bring Home the Bacon” lineup after Black Truffle and Chocolate. Sriracha bacon is made from happy pigs that are all-natural, heritage bred, vegan fed, free range and pasture raised, without hormones or antibiotics.

Perfect Pear Bistro Celebrated National Pear Day

The Perfect Pear Bistro seems like the perfect spot to celebrate National Pear Day, but this quaint little spot is upping the ante by offering a 50% discount on all menu items that include pears. Their menu boasts many such dishes like their Tukee Pear; a crispy quesadilla filled with pear, bacon, arugula along with pepper jack cheese. You can also load up on their Perfectly Grilled Cheese comprised of brie, a four cheese blend, arugula and crispy bacon served on a grilled spiced pear bread.

With a location in Ahwatukee and a brand new location in Tempe, Perfect PearBistro is the ideal place to partake in this tasty holiday. The restaurant offers a menu full of fresh and high quality ingredients, but their food items made specifically with pears are like no other.

  • First| Beer cheese and bacon deviled eggs, sweet onion slaw with mustard seed vinaigrette paired with Four Peaks Sunbru
  • Second| Peach beer braised pork belly with a peach beer glaze served alongside red cabbage and bacon kimchi paired with Four Peaks Peach Ale

Brunch for a Cause With SumoMaya

From 9 am to 3 pm, SumoMaya will be donating 10% of their brunch sales to Be The Match, a bone marrow donor registry. Every year there are thousands of people diagnosed with life-threatening cancers and often, the only thing between them and a long healthy life and full recovery is a bone marrow donor. Be the Match has worked tirelessly for the last 25 years has created and maintained the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world, resulting in lives saved and families kept together. Be the Match will be onsite on Sunday to provide additional information about their organization and how you can do your part.
