September is Hunger Awareness Month and thousands of restaurants nationwide are raising money to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry ®. With over 16 million American children facing hunger on a daily basis, I can’t think of a better initiative. Last year $5.9 million dollars were raised for the organization. The donated funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S., support nutrition programs like School Breakfast and Summer Meals, and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy dishes with limited resources.
“No child should have to worry about where their next meal is going to come from. The struggle of childhood hunger hits close to home, and knowing that Grimaldi’s can make a difference means a lot. Everyone within the Grimaldi’s family is looking forward to partnering with No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger in our local communities,” said Joey Ciolli, CEO of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria.
From now through Sunday, September 22nd, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is challenging you to fight childhood hunger. When you dine at any one of the eight Arizona Grimaldi’s locations and make a donation to No Kid Hungry you will receive a Grimaldi’s gift card in the same amount. It’s a win-win.
