WingstockAZ: Where chicken and music meet

Posted on: March 27th, 2012 by Taryn Jeffries 1 Comment

Can you think of anything better than delicious, saucy chicken wings and great music to welcome the warmer days of the year? No need to because WingstockAZ is coming to Mesa on Saturday, April 7th at the Mesa Amphitheatre from 11am to 5pm.

I have to say, this sounds like a really great family-friendly event you won’t want to miss. Come out to the Valley’s only chicken wing festival, Wingstock 2012: Where Chicken and Music Meat. This festival is one of a kind combining live music and the very best chicken wings in the Valley. Top restaurants will be competing again this year to see if they can dethrone last year’s “Wingstock King of Wings” NY Boyz Subz and Wingz. Plus, enter in the chicken wing eating contest–5 pounds of wings in 7 minutes–can you handle that?!  Bands will be performing throughout the day, and there will be a Kids Zone with free bounce houses, face painters and more! Bring the kids early for an Egg Hunt in the Kids Zone at 10:30 am! (Kids under ten get in free with adult paid admission).

Some of the restaurants participating range from The Tilted KiltLong Wong’sNative New YorkerTeakwoods and Cogburn’s Big Wings amongst others.

While you are recovering from all the tasty wings you indulge in, you can listen to the music of Pete and The ShortcummingsJohnny Anonymous and Darkness Dear Boy.

Purchase your ticket in advance by going to: WingstockAZ.com or at the Box Office located at 263 N. Center St. Advance tickets are $8 which includes your admission ticket and 4 wing coupons, or $20, which includes your admission ticket and 20 wing coupons. Each coupon is redeemable for one chicken wing from a vendor of your choice. Children 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Tickets day of the festival will cost $10, which includes your admission ticket and 4 wing coupons. Additional wing coupons can be purchased on the day of the event: $3 for 4 wing coupons or $10 for 14 wing coupons.

Don’t miss out on this year’s hottest festival! Wingstock: 2012.

  1. We were at Wingstock this year. It was a lot of fun. Discovered several new Valley hot wing spots. Still think NY Boyz deserved the crown again this year though.
