In addition to the regular menu, the boutique style restaurant offer special holiday entrees, including Alaskan Halibut with sweet corn and spring squash ratatouille ($26); Baked Frittata with asparagus, spinach, red potato and parmesan cheese ($12); and a Chicken Salad with avocado, tomato, corn, Havarti, and champagne vinaigrette ($12).   • Cafe ZuZu | Scottsdale | 6am-3pm | A La Carte Menu

Special features offered from 10am-3pm. Features include Grilled Salmon Salad, Croque Madame, Steakhouse Salad, and Crab Cakes. Dinner also served, from 5:30pm-10pm. (A La Carte Menu). Features MAY include Grilled Salmon Salad, Croque Madame, Steakhouse Salad, and Crab Cakes. Reservations recommended – call 480-421-7997.

Mothers Day brunch will feature delicacies from the carving station, seafood specialties, and a variety of soups, salads and desserts. Pricing: $68 or $78 (with wine) for adults/ $35 for children from 5-12.

Have a special Mother’s Day lunch with specialty a la carte selections including: Spicy Tuna Roll ; Hawaiian Yellowtail Sashimi with Red Chiles; Colossal Gulf Shrimp cocktail style; Pot Stickers filled with Spicy Shrimp and Pork; Maine Lobster Tacos served with House Made Fresh Tortillas and Grilled Sweet Corn Pico; 16 Vegetable Salad served with Xeres Vinaigrette and Goat Cheese Fondant; Louisiana Red Fish sautéed with Fresh Lump Crab; Chilean Sea Bass roasted with Lemon and Garlic or Steamed Hong Kong Style; 16 oz Prime New York Strip Au Poivre. Regular menu will be offered after 4pm.

Buffet: Assorted Bagels, Breakfast breads and Croissants, House Smoke Salmon Platter with Cream Cheese, Capers and Red Onion, Chilled Tortellini Salad, Mediterranean Platter with Tabouli, Hummus, Falafel and Pepperocinni Peppers, Arizona Field Greens and Strawberry Salad. Cereal Bar: Assorted Family Friendy Cereals, Mama’s Hot Oatmeal, Vanilla Bean Yogurt, Seasonal Fresh Fruit. Made to Order Omelet Station: With your choice of mushrooms, Serraño chilis, cheese, spinach, assorted veggies, caramelized onions, basil, tomato, chorizo and black beans. Eddie’s House Special Pancake Station: Berries, whipped Cream, chocolate chips, heath bar, bananas and blueberry syrup. Breakfast Sides: Apple Smoked Bacon, Breakfast sausage Patties, Turkey Sausage and Bacon. Brunch Features: Sonoran Eggs Benedict with Pulled Chicken and Orange-Jalapeno Hollandaise, Bacon-Infused Meatloaf with Country Mashed Potatoes and Mushroom Gravy, Petite Filet Mignon with Hand-cut Fries and Grilled Asparagus, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Biscuits and Gravy, Pan Seared Halibut with Heirloom Tomato and Fetoush Salad. Chef Erin’s Dessert Station: Almond Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Oreo Cake, Fruit Tarts and Peach Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Snicker Doodle Cookies. Pricing: $39 for adults;  $19 for children.

Four restaurants and six chefs are joining together for one abundant culinary fest at the resort’s La Hacienda Plaza. Mothers, fathers and the whole family are sure to find their favorites among sustainable seafood, modern Mexican cuisine, the finest cuts of beef, fresh-from-the-farm produce, artful pastries and creative cocktails. The featured restaurants are Michael Mina’s BOURBON STEAK, La Hacienda by Richard Sandoval, The Grill at the TPC Scottsdale and LV Bistro. Plus, Moms will each receive a beautiful spring flower upon arrival as a take-home gift from the resort.  Brunch-goers can also enter-to-win a lavish spa basket, as well as enjoy music and a strolling magician and balloon artist for the kids. Pricing: $55 Adults | Children 6-12 $25 | Children 5 and under are free.

Brunch features chef carved roasted turkey, made to order omelettes, taco bar, and a wide selection of Mexican entrees, salads, and pastries. It is the perfect place to treat mom for Mother’s Day. A complimentary “Lady Boss” Margarita or glass of sparkling wine will be their treat to Mom with her Brunch. Pricing: $18.99 Adults | $7.99 Children 6-10 |  Children 5 and under are free.

McCormick & Schmick’s will celebrate the most important women in our lives by offering benedicts, omelets and our signature baked French toast. Children’s brunch plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, and baked French toast with strawberry garnish is available. All mothers who dine on Mother’s Day will receive a complimentary Chocolate Truffle Trio dessert. A complementary Mother’s Day Concierge Service is also offered on Sunday. Guests making reservations for Sunday may order flowers to be delivered to their table when they dine. The restaurants will coordinate this with local florists. Guests may also arrange to have a customized message printed on their menu or a card for the table. Any mother who dines at McCormick & Schmick’s over Mother’s Day Weekend will be able to enter for the chance to win a private cooking class/demo for herself and a friend with the local Chef.

Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch features Gourmet Waffle Station; Omelet & Egg Station; Carving Station with Herb Crusted, Slow Roasted Strip Loin; Decadent Dessert Table; Sparkling California Wine & Mimosas. Pricing: Adults: $33.95; children ages 6-12 $16.95.

Modern Steak is serving a three course, prix-fixe menu for $30 per person on Mother’s Day from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. The restaurant’s dinner menu will be served from 4 to 9 p.m. From the prix-fixe menu, first course selections include Vanilla Yogurt Parfait with fresh fruit and house made granola; Lobster Chowder “New England Style” with root vegetables and bacon; and a Chopped Salad with avocado, crisp vegetables, parmesan, and champagne vinaigrette. A variety of entrées will be available, such as an 8 oz. Sirloin Steak and Eggs with breakfast potatoes; Eggs Benedict with smoked ham, tomato hollandaise, and fresh basil; Artichoke Tortelli with mushrooms, Cippollini onions, roasted tomatoes, and asparagus. At Modern Steak, decadent dessert selections finish the meal, including Peanut Butter Cup with Valrhona chocolate ganache and a house cookie, or Spring Berry Shortcake with lemon curd and strawberry sauce.  For Mother’s Day, Modern Steak will open early at 10am and close at 9:30pm. The restaurant will serve its usual menu, plus a variety of specialties just for Mother’s Day. Choose from several dishes, such as Dungeness Crab Salad with baby greens, fennel, sweet corn, and smoked tomato vinaigrette ($14); Italian Sausage Scramble with caramelized onions, zucchini, spinach and parmesan potatoes ($13); and a Grilled Meatball Burger with smoked mozzarella and crushed tomato ($10). Olive & Ivy is offering several Mother’s Day dishes, plus regular brunch menu items. Special offerings include Slow Roasted Prime Rib served with creamed spinach and Marsala glazed Shitake mushrooms ($26); plus Alaskan Halibut with olive oil poached hearts of palm, snow peas and pink grapefruit ($24). Roses for mom, Champagne, a selection of fresh fruits, salads, cheeses, muffins, bagels, breads. Entrees include roast lamb, roast sirloin, sugar-glazed ham, scallops, salmon, scampi. An assortment of pies, cakes, tortes, fruit tarts and pastries for dessert. Pricing: $58 per adult, $29 for children under 12.

A gourmet Mother’s Day Brunch with a rugged western edge will be served buffet-style. Includes a bread table, savory cold & hot item station, egg & meat carving tables as well as a dessert station. Menu items include: Sticky Cinnamon Buns; Candied jalapeno coleslaw; Apple walnut orzo salad; Classic Eggs Benedict & Cornbread Benedict; Fried Chicken; Green Chile Pork Stew; Prime Rib with Au Jus; Smoked Salmon; Biscuits and Sausage Homemade Gravy; Sage and Cornbread Stuffing; Scalloped potatoes and roasted chilies; Green Chile cheese grits with cheddar and bacon; Pecan Pie Diamonds; Bananas Foster Bread Pudding; Cheesecake and Margarita Tarts; Brownies; Homemade Cookies.

  • Roka Akor | Scottsdale | Brunch begins at 10am

Enjoy brunch menu specialties such as cured salmon salad with organic greens and wasabi ginger dressing, lump crab cake benedict with poached egg and yuzu kosho hollandaise or robata grilled skirt steak with sweet garlic soy. The Mother’s Day Brunch menu is priced at $35 per person (not including beverages, tax and grauity) and includes your choice of starter, entree and dessert. Our regular brunch menu will also be available. Celebrating with mom for dinner? Roka Akor begins dinner service at 5PM.  Chef Jason has created a Mother’s Day dinner menu especially for your celebration. The menu includes kobe beef dumplings, lobster vegetable tempura and Creekstone prime filet mignon. The Mother’s Day Dinner menu is priced at $79 per person (not including beverages, tax and gratuity). Our regular dinner menu will also be available all evening. Pricing: $35.00 per person for Brunch menu or $79 per person for dinner menu.

  • SAPPORO | Scottsdale | 11am-3pm | $10-$30

In honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8, Sapporo Scottsdale—Phoenix’s premier dining destination for authentic Japanese sushi, Pacific Rim-inspired cuisine, and artful Teppanyaki—invites families to celebrate moms across the city with three refreshing Mother’s Day lunch specials ($10 – 30) from talented Executive Chef Stephen Stromberg, available all weekend long (Friday, May 6 – Sunday, May 8). Guests can also sip and savor a light and refreshing “Mother’s Little Helper” cocktail, a Coconut Flower martini with St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and fresh Coconut Water, served with an edible Orchid garnish ($12). Each mother will also receive a complimentary rose from the restaurant. Mother’s Day lunch menu specials (available May 6 – 8, 2011) will include: Spicy Chilled Prawn and Spring Melon Salad ($10).  Teppanyaki Special: Jalapeño-Almond Pesto Crusted Alaskan Halibut with Confetti Rice and Yellow Pepper Cream ($30). Pacific-Rim Special: Kabayaki Grilled Jumbo Sea Scallops with Summer Asparagus and Sweet Pepper Salad ($27). Staple lunchtime favorites at Sapporo also include the popular Three Sum, with a choice of three items that includes Thai Mussels, Calamari French Fries, Sesame Chili Egg Noodles, and Sweet Chili Cucumber Salad ($12); in addition to the Pad Thai Tacos with a choice of Seared Sea Bass or Hoisin BBQ Pork ($8 for two), and the Chili Beef Noodle Bowl with Seared Teriyaki Steak, Chili Broth, Bean Sprouts, and Crispy Shallots ($8). For an icy treat to round out lunch, diners can also enjoy a selection of cooling new sorbets and ice creams handcrafted by Sapporo’s Executive Chef Stephen Stromberg. Made fresh, the sorbet and ice cream flavors rotate weekly and reflect some of Stromberg’s favorite sweet ingredients, such as Chocolate-Coconut Sorbet, Roasted Pineapple Ice Cream, and Raspberry-Lychee Sorbet, garnished with Seasonal Berries and fresh Mint Leaves ($4-5 each).

  • Sassi | Scottsdale | 10am-1pm

The elaborate feast begins with fresh salads including buffalo mozzarella caprese; Sassi Giardiniera with pickled green beans and artichoke hearts; insalata mista with organic mixed greens, lemon cucumbers and shaved pecorino; arugula and fire-roasted pineapple salad with goat cheese; and marinated halibut salad. Scrumptious breakfast offerings include frittata with Sassi’s homemade sausage, prosciutto and fontina; smoked salmon and poached egg bruschetta; and Italian toast with nutella and hazelnut syrup. Savor Sassi’s antipasti offering a generous selection of assorted salumi and artisanal cheeses. Mother’s Day entrees feature wild mushroom crusted salmon with truffle butter; pork loin stuffed with sopresetta, provolone and rapini; roasted strip loin of beef with primitivo sauce; baked rigatoni alla Norma; and casarecce all’amatriciana. Spoil mom with Sassi’s indulging desserts including amaretto cheesecake with apricot sauce, strawberry crostata, chocolate-pistachio torte, biscotti, cookies, gelati and sorbetti. A champagne and Bloody Mary bar will have moms toasting their holiday in style. Reservations can be made at sassi.biz or by calling 480-502-9095. The Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch Buffet includes a carving station serving herb crusted New York sirloin and roasted turkey breast with cranberry sauce. Prepared to order omelets will be offered with fresh vegetables, meats, and cheeses. Waffle station, assortment of baked goods, a cold buffet and a salad bar. A selection of entrées will be served including: traditional eggs benedict, pan roasted sea bass, rosemary seared pork loin. A selection of tortes, cakes, and tarts will be offered for dessert. Coffee, tea, sparkling cider, and champagne for the adults are included. Every Mom gets a rose. Advanced reservations required. Pricing: $39.95 for Adults; $14.95 for Children ages 6-12; Free for children under 5.

A festive Mother’s Day Brunch complete with a create your own bloody Mary bar, and specialty brunch a la carte menu including: Six Shooters – Tortilla crusted hand stuffed cheddar and bacon filled jalapeno shots with cilantro buttermilk sauce; The Spotted Donkey Chopped Salad; Calabacita Quesadilla; Signature Street Tacos; The Donkey Breakfast Burrito Served with Scrambled Eggs, Black bean, Chorizo and Oaxaca Cheese; Big Ass Stack Whole Grain Pancakes; SDC Eggs Benedict Served with jalapeno ham, poached eggs, green chile hollandaise and grilled asparagus; Green Chiles, Potatoes and Egg Torta; Slow Roasted Mesquite Beef.

Talavera will serve a four-course Mother’s Day tasting menu. Pricing: $80 per person.

Select dishes include Brioche French Toast with strawberries and cream and mint syrup ($10); and a Spring Vegetable Frittata with goat cheese, watercress, and citrus vinaigrette ($11). The Greene House is located at Kierland at 15024 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 100, Scottsdale. The Palo Verde Restaurant hosts an a la carte menu that includes culinary delights from the Southwestern region in celebration of the Mother’s Day holiday.

Special a la carte menu with their regular menu also available.

The restaurant will be serving its heart-healthy, flavorful brunch menu, including a few dishes just for the occasion. Try the Brioche French Toast with berries or Sea Bass with farro, fava beans, peas and herb emulsion. Both True Food Kitchen locations will be open from 10am-9pm.

  • Z’Tejas | Phoenix, Chandler, Scottsdale & Tempe

Z’Tejas is offering a wonderful brunch on Mother’s Day at all Valley Z’Tejas locations. Mother’s will be celebrated with complimentary family photos plus a dessert! Brunch favorites include Bananas Foster French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Chicken and Potato Hash, Breakfast Quesadillas and Enchiladas. Call your Valley location for hours.
