Culinary Masters Series at Monti’s Continues with Chef Beau MacMillan on March 29th

Posted on: March 18th, 2011 by Amy Martin No Comments

After a successful start to the Culinary Masters Series at Monti’s La Casa Vieja in February with Chef Eddie Matney (read our re-cap here), Food Network Star and Executive Chef of Elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort, Chef Beau MacMillan, will be suiting up and manning the Monti’s grill on Tuesday, March 29th.

A little background on the Culinary Masters Series: The last Tuesday of every month, Monti’s will be bringing in local culinary masters to spotlight their talents and mix things up in the kitchen. Monti’s is known for its time-tested classic dishes, so what better way to rouse up their favorites than to lend an apron to these local chefs and their identifiably innovative cuisine.

“We had a packed house with Eddie last month and are looking forward to seeing Beau’s twist on our menu for the March edition of our Culinary Masters Series,” said owner Michael Monti. “This has been a great way to celebrate our 55th anniversary and it’s refreshing to see new takes on our classic dishes.”

Reserve your table between 5–10pm on Tuesday, March 29th to try one of Beau Mac’s creations or stick with the favorites from Monti’s full dinner menu, which will also be available.

Chef Beau’s menu for the evening:

Appetizers:

Fire Roasted Island Creek Oysters | Chinese Sausage | Sesame Sauce

Beau Mac’s East Coast Clams “Casino Style” | Garlic | Bacon & Parsley

Salad:

Hearts of Romaine with Aged Oak Vinaigrette | Toasted Marcona Almonds, Gorgonzola Cheese | Fried Shallots

Entrées:

Double Cut Pork Chop | Honey Garlic Glaze | Grilled Pineapple

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Filet of Beef | Mushroom Hash | Miso Mustard Crust

Dessert:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
