Are You Ready to Taste Glendale?

Posted on: February 2nd, 2011 by Taryn Jeffries 1 Comment

If this event is anything like TASTE Chandler, I can personally attest that you do not want to miss this! TASTE Glendale Culinary Festival is set for Saturday, march 5th in Historic Downtown Glendale. More than 30 area eateries and food purveyors will join forces to tantalize and dazzle Glendale residents at the first ever culinary spectacular. This signature Glendale event will showcase the city’s Downtown Dining District, and is viewed as a boost to the local economy. According to Local First Arizona, for every $100 spent for goods and services at a locally-owned business, $73 remains in the Arizona economy. TASTE Glendale – organized by HDE Agency, the full-service marketing agency that also produced the successful TASTE Chandler festival – will give patrons the unique opportunity to taste, savor and enjoy the delicacies of Glendale’s finest eating establishments. TASTE will take place between 5pm-9pm at Murphy Park in Downtown Glendale, at the corner of 58th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

“TASTE will highlight the local chefs and regional cuisine that are representing Glendale as a culinary destination,” said Landon Evans, President of HDE Agency. “We were honored when the City of Glendale chose HDE to represent Glendale’s first culinary event.”

TASTE will showcase local Glendale eateries and restaurants including: Bitzee Mama’s, Bueno Burger, Dillon’s, Fajardo’s Café, Famous Dave’s, Le Chalet, Let’s do Dinner, Max’s, Ninfa’s, Rock Bottom Brewery, Rubio’s, Satara Thai Cuisine & Boutique Wine Lounge, The Melting Pot, Tuscan Oven and Zendejas. More restaurants will be added and announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets are $25 for adults; this is a 21-and-older event. The price includes beverages.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at tasteglendale.com.  For the truly indulgent, there will be a VIP area where only select guests, restaurants, sponsors and celebrities are invited. VIPs will be pampered with private cooking presentations from Executive Chefs at Le Cordon Bleu and Heidi Lee from Into the Soup; succulent delicacies; soothing jazz music; and other entertainment. VIP tickets are $50.

TASTE Glendale’s Culinary Festival is presented in partnership with the City of Glendale , North Valley magazine, Arizona Rattlers, Kalil Bottling Co, Into the Soup, HDE Agency and Alliance Beverage Distribution. For more information, visit tasteglendale.com.
