Someburros Celebrates 30 Years of Success With Planned Expansion, Seeks Up to Three New Locations in 2016

It’s an undeniable Arizona institution, and it’s about to expand its footprint even further.

Someburros, the East Valley’s go-to spot for authentic Mexican dishes and drinks, has seven Valley locations already, and following a banner year that saw bold rebranding, sky-high sales and a successful launch into Tempe’s own Sun Devil Stadium, the family-owned eatery is expanding yet again.

Someburros Planned Expansion

Someburros is in search of up to three new locations across the Valley in which to set up shop and sell its famed burros, bebidas and other items from its broad, bold menu to new audiences. Ideal locations are neighborhood-focused and friendly, and locales with existing drive-thru set-ups are especially desirable to the Someburros family.

“We’re celebrating thirty years of success here in Arizona this year, and we’re positioning ourselves for many more,” said company president Tim Vasquez. “We have the menu and the amazing management team already in place – now we just need to scout out communities in search of a Someburros of their own.”

The fast-casual concept has struck a chord with East Valley diners for decades, thanks to its reliance on original family recipes, its affordable price point and its comfortable, inviting environment that gives on-the-go families a quick meal option without sacrificing quality. While Someburros’ menu has remained largely unchanged in its three decades in business, the eatery has made strides to enhance its sustainability in recent years, going so far as to swap out all Styrofoam and plastic plates, cups and glassware in favor of evergreen ceramic and metal reusable models.

Now, it looks to grow over the next thirty years and the first step is finding out where to open up shop. Property owners, city representatives and commercial brokers who have properties that may make ideal Someburros locations are encouraged to send a note to Someburros. Restaurant representatives will then review submissions and ultimately decide where to launch new Someburros locations in 2016.

“We’re on the lookout for locations with a strong community component – a place where Someburros can truly thrive,” Vasquez said. “We’re excited to get the Someburros name on new signage and to expose new diners to everything Someburros stands for.”
