These days, more and more Americans are eating in to cut costs in a struggling economy. As a result of this, more people are looking to the internet for new recipes, cooking techniques and meal plans. With basic cooking skills under your belt, you’ll be able to create a restaurant-quality meal from home. SmartKitchen.com’s goal is to spread culinary knowledge as far as possible. They offer very affordable, private “culinary schooling”, geared towards the average American cook and it can all be completed at home and at your own pace. You don’t have to be cast on a Food Network show to transform from “worst to first”!
SmartKitchen.com offers beginner, intermediate and advanced cooking lessons – there’s something here for everyone. They have created 400 videos and text lessons in a range of topics from knife skills, food prep, stocks, soups, bases, pasta, shucking oysters… the list is almost endless. You can follow their detailed software or pick and choose your own lessons for a customized experience. And, the videos are the same caliber used to train professional chefs, and have been enhanced to be “home cook friendly.”
Who’s behind it all? Chef Eric O’Neill, a Scottsdale entrepreneur and the founder, president, and vision behind the concept. Eric graduated from Culinary School in 2005, worked in some acclaimed restaurants and shortly started his own successful catering business named “Renegade Chefs.” He was mentored by his father, Chef Dominic O’Neill who is currently the Executive Chef and a full-time faculty member at the Scottsdale Community College Culinary Arts Program.
You can join SmartKitchen.com and gain full access to the program for $9.99 monthly or $99 for a full year.

You don’t get a guest pass, but the hotel will book dinner reservations for you. You pay the $20 cover charge and have dinner. Once you’re finished with dinner, you go around the castle and explore. You can see all the shows and everything. Hope that helps!
