Celebrate National Ugly Sweater Day At AJ’s

Posted on: December 15th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

I have to be honest. I did not understand this was a thing, but now that I do, I sort of love it. National Ugly Sweater Day (also identified as National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day) is perfect for fully embracing your Buddy the Elf love of Christmas. The ‘holiday’ was created as a way to fully embrace your ugly sweater and sport it wherever you go, regardless of the circumstances. No exceptions! Forget about appearances and looking the part. Get weird!

AJ’s Fine Foods will celebrate National Ugly Sweater Day by giving half off the cost of a large coffee or tea to patrons who dare to wear their most garish holiday garments. While Ugly Sweater Day falls on Friday, Dec. 16, AJ’s Boulangerie will celebrate the holiday all weekend long (from Friday, Dec. 16 to Sunday, Dec. 18) at its 11 locations across Arizona.

The perks don’t end there, as the gourmet specialty grocer will also hold an ugly sweater contest for shoppers. Shoppers who snap a picture at AJ’s while wearing their ugly sweater and post it on social media using #ajsuglysweater will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $150 store gift card. From pullovers and cardigans to vests and hoodies, the best-of-the-worst entry will be awarded the gift card on Monday, Dec. 19.
