Candace first opened the original Sprinkles location in Beverly Hills in 2005 and people thought she was out of her mind. “What else do you sell” is something she was asked all the time. She got the last laugh, though, because on opening day she sold out of her freshly baked cupcakes within just a few hours. Since opening that first location, her brand has grown to 20 locations with plans for at least a dozen more in the works. Candace is responsible for the current cupcake craze and has set the standard for gourmet cupcakes.

What kind of secrets will be revealed in The Sprinkles Baking Book?

The book will pay homage to Candace’s cupcake roots and boasts over 50 Sprinkles Cupcake recipes and will even include instruction on how to make them as cakes if that’s your thing. You’ll be able to make classics like her Red Velvet, Banana and Vanilla Milk Chocolate cupcakes. If you’re looking for some more modern creations you’ll find those here, too. Bake up Crème Brulee and Pineapple Upside Down (my personal favorite) cupcakes.

Does the book only cover cupcakes?

That’s the fun part, while you would expect there to only be cupcake recipes, there are also a slew of guides to making some of Candace’s personal favorites like cakes, pies, quick breads, cookies, bars, ice cream treats and many other All-American classic desserts. Candace has also included recipes that have been contributed by some of her A-list fans like Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Strahan and Jessica Alba.
