Deseo Summer Menu Embraces Light New Dishes

Posted on: July 5th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Chef de Cuisine Derek Biazo has worked hard at ensuring that Deseo at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa is consistently dazzling diners with flavorful and exciting dishes. He has helped to ensure that Deseo stays true to its name, Spanish for desire, by continuing to pair beloved Latin American ingredients with contemporary style and finesse.

Deseo's Summer Menu Embraces LIght Flavorful new dishes1We have had the opportunity to enjoy deseo’s offering more than once and each time has been a lesson in new flavors. Their fresh seafood dishes shine and their Bebidas are made to order, fresh and with a healthy level of zip from all that beautiful rum.

The rich, dark woods featured throughout the dining room invoke a sexy, manly vibe. This is a place that you would expect golf parties or business partners to gather together and enjoy a stiff drink and a heady cigar.

Chef Biazo has just created Deseo’s Summer menu that highlights fresh new dishes, teeming with bright colors and flavors.

Deseo’s Summer Menu Breakdown

Best Bites

Chef Biazo has noted that one of his favorite dishes is the Ceviche de Escalopes. This dish is a combination of diver scallop, aromatic herb cilantro, passion fruit leche de tigre marinade, pickled jalapeno and nitro popcorn. Another new menu highlight is the Tiradito Nikkei. This dish features Hon Hamachi (thought to be the best quality yellowtail available in the world), truffle ponzu sauce, rocoto chile pears, cilantro, avocado, and nori seaweed.

Best Seat

If you want to experience the passion of this restaurant and be wowed by the talent of the kitchen, ask for a seat at “The Rail”. The major benefit of a seat here, is that you have the opportunity to truly interact with the chefs. You can ask questions and pick up tips and tricks to use at home.
