La Pizzetta Announces​ New Executive Chef & Menu

La Pizzetta, a restaurant specializing in wood-fired pizzas, opened earlier this year under the culinary talents of Pascal and Donna Dionot owners of Classic Cooking Academy is now open for lunch and just announced new Chef Pietro Pizzuro and new menu items.Chef Pizzuro named new Executive Chef at La Pizzetta

Pizza is in the blood of Chef Pietro Pizzuro who was born and raised in Sicily, Italy and then moved to New York City where his family owns twelve pizza shops.

Chef Pizzuro has opened over twenty restaurants over the course of his career.  Eleven of them have been here in the valley including Café Romas, as well as Il Forno.

La Pizzetta began as a pizza restaurant, but with the new addition of Chef Pietro they plan to include his favorite Italian dishes onto the menu.  Chef Pietro cooks the Sicilian way – everything is made from scratch, pasta cooked al dente, and everything cooked to maximize the best flavor.  Notable menu items include; Bufala Italiana Pizza with tomato sauce, imported mozzarella di bufala, parmesan, basil, and evoo, Homemade potato gnocchi with mascarpone in a creamy tomato sauce, and the Strozzapreti Salsiccia with fresh pasta in tomato and sausage sauce with light cream, parmesan and rosemary

In addition to the new menu items, La Pizzetta will still carry their signature specialty pizzas, from Alla Salsiccia to Pizza Bianca as well as a light menu of salads, appetizers and desserts complements the pizza offerings.
