Pie Five Pizza Co., which offers handcrafted personal pizzas and salads, began in Dallas, Texas in 2011 and has quickly grown to over 300 franchised stores in several states.Pie Five Pizza Order Here

There are several key components that separate them from similar concept stores.  “Fresh is Best”, which is why all their dough (with the exception of their gluten-free option) is made fresh in house every day, as are all of their signature sauces.  The cheeses are shredded fresh daily and fresh veggies are also chopped fresh in house.  What also makes Pie Five unique is the fact that you can pick your own crust.  This will take family pizza night to whole new level.  Now there is no need to pick a particular crust with limited toppings; each family member can choose from either crispy artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain thin or gluten-free.  Salads are also served in a pizza crust bowl.

Pie Five Pizza Classic PanThis was my first visit to a pizza place with a handcrafted pizza concept.  When I first walked in, the first thing I could smell was freshness of veggies and fresh pizza.  It looked similar to a sandwich shop, where you pick what bread and toppings you want, but instead, you pick your crust, then toppings.  After you choose your toppings, it goes into the oven and cooks to perfection.  The entire pizza is assembled and completely cooked in less than 5 minutes.  I chose a classic pan crust, Tuscan marinara with the fresh cheese blend, ricotta cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions.  When it came out of the oven, I had the “magic dust” sprinkled on my pizza, which is their signature blend of Parmesan, Romano and special seasonings.  The pan crust was thick and crispy, just how I like it.  The cheeses were delicious and bubbly and the caramelized onions and mushrooms made it pie-fect!

They also have many signature pizzas,  the Five Star being the most popular, which is Tuscan marinara, cheddar, pepperoni, beef, green olives, red and green peppers, black olives and red onions.  A few other signature pies include the Farmers Market with Tuscan marinara, mushrooms, red onions, spinach, red and green peppers and roasted tomatoes.  The Athenian includes olive oil, feta, grilled chicken, minced garlic, banana peppers, red onions, basil, kalamata olives and sun-dried tomato purée.  The Tuscan Chicken includes olive oil, sun- dried tomatoes, minced garlic, spinach and grilled chicken.

Not in the mood for pizza? No problem, the signature salads can satisfy your appetite. Some of the salads include the Classic Italian with romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, red onions, pepperoni, mozzarella, tomatoes and balsamic drizzle.  The Greek includes romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, banana peppers, carrots, tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions and feta with Greek dressing.  All salads are served in their famous pizza crust bowl.

The prices are fantastic.  Pick any  pizza or salad any way for only $6.99 ( $2.00 for gluten free).

Kids sized pies (6”) are $3.69 with one topping.

Got a sweet tooth? I do! Save room for a slice of the Turtle Brownie, Ultimate Brownie, or Chocolate Chip Pie.  Go ahead and order a whole one, I won’t judge.
