Have an A’fare at the Burton Barr Central Library

On October 4th, New Times present the 15th Best of Phoenix A’fare at the Burton Barr Central Library from 8 pm until midnight. The night promises to be full of some of the best restaurant dishes and cocktails in the Valley.

There are over 30 restaurants participating and they will be ready for you with samples of their signature dishes. There will also be plenty of cocktails, wine and beer to accent your feast of samples. Aside form the draw of all that great food, there will be live music from local bands and DJs to entertain you throughout the night.New Times Best of Phoenix A'fare

The Bites

The participating restaurants at publishing are:

Frost Gelato, The Watershed, Oatmeal Cafe, Fogon Mexican Eatery, Giuseppe’s on 28th, The Vig, The Monastery, Rico’s American Grill, Karl’s Quality Bakery, Detroit Coney Grill, T-bone Steakhouse, Baby Kay’s Cajun Kitchen, Tukee’s Sports Grille, The Attic, Stacy’s Smoke House BBQ, Focaccia Fiorentina, HEK Yeah BBQ, The Rose and Crown Pub, Wild Game Sports Grill, Metropolis, Boondocks, Harley’s Italian Bistro, Jam Rock Café, Central Wine, Uncle Bears, Sweet Tomatoes, Hob Nobs, Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill, Bosa Donuts, 5 & Diner Phoenix, Nabers, with more to be announced.

The Bucks

General admission tickets are available for $45 before the event and $55 the day of the event. But, for you dear reader, if you use Coupon Code PHXBITES you will get an exclusive $5 discount. The VIP tickets have already sold out, so make sure that you hurry up and get your tickets before they are all gone, just make sure you are over 21 (and that you bring your ID to prove it)!

The Benefit

This year’s event will benefit Sun Sounds of Arizona. The foundation’s mission is to provide audio access to people who cannot read print because they have a disability. Service is available on the radio, telephone, and internet as a live stream or podcast. Sun Sounds of Arizona is also available in hospitals and residential facilities around the state. In fact, there are eight ways to tune-in. Sun Sounds of Arizona provides access to information many ways.

Burton Barr Central Library is at 1221 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix.
