Schools Back – What to do about school lunch?
When the kids are preparing to go back to school, that leaves Moms and Dads wondering about school lunches. Should you let them get lunch at their school cafeteria or would it be better to pack them a lunch? If you pack them a lunch, what in the world should you put in that lunch bag?
Luci’s Healthy Marketplace is looking to make that decision easier for parents. On Saturday, August 9th, from 10 am until 2 pm you’ll have the opportunity to meet with, talk to and sample the wares of all natural and organic food vendors. They will bring with them kid-friendly options that are not only healthy but delicious, and will certainly make that lunch bag a little more interesting and exciting.
You can also learn about school approved nut-free, gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives to meet any necessary dietary needs. There will even be a Back To School Gift Shop complete with one of a kind lunch boxes backpacks, utensils, pencil boxes and much more. Bonus – Spend $35 and you’ll get $5.00 off your purchase.
Luci’s Healthy Marketplace is located at 1590 E. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix.

Unfortunately I will be unable to meet Luci and the other vendors on Sunday but when I pack lunches, I usually pack too much. I need to cut down on all the things I put in my kids lunches. Generally I put: a small gatorade, a Capri Sun, a lunchables, gummy snack, kids bag of chips and another healthy choice which could be sliced apples, mixed fruit or mandarin oranges.
