The Cold War is Coming: The Gelato Wars
While it may be feel as though it is a million and one degrees outside, get ready for a the Cold War. The second annual Gelato Wars, presented by The Gelato Spot is right around the corner.
Beginning on August 1st and lasting until August 31st, some of your favorite Valley chefs are creating their own icy creations and sometimes one-of-a-kind flavor combinations all in the spirit of fun competition and charity. During the month-long competition the Chef that sells the most of their gelato flavor will receive the coveted gelato cone trophy as well as a $5,000 check in their name presented to the Make-A-Wish Arizona organization.
The Gelato Spot has also come up with a fin way to kick off the event. If you visit any of their three Valley locations on August 1st between 5 pm and 8 pm and buy two scoops of gelato you will receive a voucher for a free Wood Fired Pizza (limited to one per person) to be redeemed between August 2nd and August 31st at their Scottsdale location.

“Expect the flavors to be super outrageous, funky and cool,” said Gelato Spot owner Tommy Plato. “These are 10 of the most talented chefs in the Valley right now and there is really no sweeter way to celebrate our love of gelato and the end of the summer.”
