Do you have what it takes to be a chef for a day?

Posted on: August 7th, 2013 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to navigate a kitchen like your favorite chefs? The Phoenix Public Market Cafe and Chef Aaron Chamberlin are offering up an experience of a lifetime to one lucky winner of their ‘Chef For a Day’. From now through August 31st, by simply leaving your business card at the register counter at the Cafe, you can learn how to navigate the farmer’s market from a chef’s perspective and then learn and cook alongside Chef Aaron Chamberlin and complete your experience with a feast for four.

Chef Chamberlin (who also happens to be co-owner of St. Francis) is known for his dedication to sustainable, approachable and affordable farm-to-table food and he is ready to share his passion with the lucky winner. The winner and three guests will spend the afternoon maneuvering the Market with Chef Chamberlin who will provide insight and tips on picking the freshest products. From the Market, the group will move on to the kitchen at the Phoenix Public Market Cafe to cook alongside Chef as he demonstrates the best techniques for creating healthful dishes based on the finds at the Market. The winner’s group will end the day to feast upon a farm-to-table lunch complete with wine, dessert and perhaps some surprises. If all of that weren’t enough, the prize package will also include four professional Bragard chefs aprons complete with the Phoenix Public Market Cafe logo.

The winner of this contest will be drawn on September 1st. So hurry and get to the Phoenix Public Market Cafe before August 31st and get your entry in, and if you are having a hard time thinking of who you might bring…I can definitely make myself available!

Phoenix Public Market Cafe is located at 14 East Pierce Street in Phoenix. For more information call 602.253.2700.
