Nearly $15,000 raised for Future for Kids with the help of Bungalow Bar & Grill
On February 16, Bungalow Bar & Grill in Old Town Scottsdale hosted a VIP cocktail party for Valley sports celebrities and the Future for Kids Organization. We had the opportunity to attend to check out the fundraiser and learn more about the cause. The cocktail party was a part of Future for Kids 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic which raised funds to provide at-risk youth with scholarships for mentoring, and sports and fitness.
The event showed off the use of Bungalow’s space as a private venue for parties and events, and boasted a 50-item silent auction of sports memorabilia. Attendees enjoyed drinks and appetizers (even mini grilled cheese!) from Bungalow while DJ Soulman played some of my favorite tunes.
Celebrities in attendance included Michael Bankston (former defensive lineman for the Arizona Cardinals), Chris Carter (Pittsburgh Steelers), David Carter (Arizona Cardinals), Ryan Roberts (player for the Arizona Diamondbacks), Tyron Smith (Dallas Cowboys) and many others.
Check out photos from the event below:
Because of Bungalow’s owners Rich & Trish Clark who lent the space and all of the auction donations from Arizona businesses, artists and contributors, the event raised $14,000 through the raffle and silent auction. Total raised through the VIP Cocktail Party & Golf Tournament was $48,000 to benefit Future for Kids. Incredible, right?
