Bite Nite 2011: Culinary Competition Raises Funds to Fight ALS

Posted on: May 30th, 2011 by Amy Martin No Comments

Saturday, June 11th, the 2011 Bite Nite Benefit event/culinary competition will be held at the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center. From 7pm-10pm, event attendees will enjoy culinary treats featuring signature appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks from the event’s restaurant participants.

Guests at the event will each tally a vote for a participating restaurant that “knocked them out”. The restaurant with the most votes will be named the 2011 Bite Nite Heavyweight Champion.
Contenders this year include:

The Bite Nite Event is organized by Spark of Hope, an organization focusing on providing assistance directly to disabled children and their families who are not supported by traditional charitable programs, and The ALS Association Arizona Chapter. There is currently no known cause or cure for ALS and it is 100% fatal. In 2011, The ALS Association Arizona Chapter will provide services to over 350 families throughout Arizona. The ALS Association Arizona Chapter will use the funds raised to provide equipment, information, resources, programs and fund research.  Spark of Hope will use benefits from the 2011 Bite Nite to fund the implementation of an ALS children’s program.   Last year’s inaugural event raised more than $82,000 – and we can do better this year!

Cost to attend the main event is $79 for individuals, or $149 per couple. VIP Bite Club event only tickets are available $for 159 for individuals or $279 a couple. VIP Bite Club Premium tickets, with overnight accommodations, are available for $349 a couple or $229 for individuals.
