Guide: Weekend Bites April 15th-17th

Planning ahead for your weekend out? We’ve highlighted some of our favorite weekend events to make it a little easier (and tastier!).

Here’s our Weekend Guide for April 15th-17th.

Friday, April 15th

  • 3:30-6:30pm – Tax Relief Celebration at McCormick & Schmick’s

This Friday and Monday from 3:30-6:30 pm, appetizers are just $1.95. Drink specials will include beer on tap starting at $3.50, and Uncle Sam’s Mai Tai or a Big Payback Daiquiri for $6.95 each. On Monday, Chef Jay will be offering a menu featuring $10.40 entrees in the bar. Each and every patron in the bar this Friday and Monday nights will receive a $10.40 gift certificate good for another visit from Tuesday, April 19th on. (One per customer.) Saturday, April 16th

  • 10am-2pm – 2011 Phoenix Gluten-Free Expo – $5

Over 50 Vendor Tables  of Gluten-Free Products, Restaurants, Services will be present. The event will be held at The Sheraton Crescent and will include samples to taste and samples to take home. Visit phoenixceliac.org for more information.

Sunday, April 17th

  • 7:30pm – “Sunset Cinema” at the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa – FREE

Montelucia’s new “Sunset Cinema” continues this Sunday – a free outdoor movie showing featuring films set in Europe and Morocco. Sunday’s showing will be “Chocolate” (2000). Movies begin at 7:30pm and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Picnic baskets and other tasty treats are available for purchase. For more information, visit icmontelucia.com.

  • 5:30-7:30pm – Cooking Class at Luci’s Healthy Marketplace – $49.99

This Sunday, enjoy the “Mangia Bene” Raw Italian Recipe Class with Chef Siegren Johnson at Luci’s Healthy Marketplace. Learn easy ways to “Eat Well” while still enjoying authentic tasting Italian cuisine, free of gluten, diary, wheat, and soy! To register for the class, call 602-773-1339.
