Planning ahead for your weekend out? We’ve highlighted some of our favorite weekend events to make it a little easier.

Here’s our Weekend Guide for November 5th-7th.

Friday, November 5th

  • 6pm-8pm –Celebration of the Arizona Wine Growers Reception – $65

Enjoy passed and stationed hors d’ouevres prepared by Executive Chef Greg LaPrad, one of Arizona wines earliest supporters who is committed to seasonal, local, and organic produce. Mingle and meet the honored Arizona Grower’s Cup and Winemaker’s Medal award winners while sampling the top scoring wines from the 2010 competition. Saturday, November 6th

  • 1pm-5pm –The Festival at the Farm – $65

Live, educational seminars (including a special “People’s Choice” seminar) featuring: wine tasting with more than 20 Arizona wineries, picnic lunch prepared by the Farm Kitchen, tasty treats prepared by some Arizona local favorites, live music from Paris James, internationally renowned singer/songwriter and an exciting silent and live auction. Sunday, November 7th

  • Noon-5pm –The Great Cajun Cook-Off & Food Fest – $25

The fifth annual Great Cajun Cook-Off & Food Fest is a casual, family-friendly event featuring an amateur cajun cook-off, as well as a Food Fest with food from the best Cajun and Southern restaurants around the Valley! Come taste the best gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya, shrimp & catfish po’boys, red beans and rice, deep fried turkey, bread pudding, greens,  and more!
