Doughbird Opening and Job Fair News

Posted on: February 26th, 2017 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

There’s no doubt that anything that is aligned with the name Sam Fox in the Valley has already succeeded. Just look at the James Beard nods if you have any doubts. From True Food Kitchen, Blanco Tacos + Tequila, North Italia, Zinburger, Culinary Dropout, The Arrogant Butcher, Wildflower, Olive & Ivy, The Greene House, Little Cleo’s, Flower Child, The Henry and more; all incredibly successful establishments, and some with multiple locations. When we first heard about Doughbird quite a bit ago, we got really excited.

SAM FOX'S NEWEST JOINT- DOUGHBIRDSure, it’s a pizza joint, and the Valley certainly isn’t lacking in options as far as that goes, but I think once Doughbird opens you’ll find that it is so much more than your conventional pizza joint. The bold concept is set to offer house made pizzas, rotisserie meats, classic comfort sides along with unique sauces. The space will be bright and inviting, producing a sensation of being in your own back yard.

The Food of Doughbird

Indulge in savory pizzas like Crispy Pastrami (aged gruyere, pickled mustard seed, purple kale, rye) and Spiral Ham (shishito pepper, spicy pineapple, Thai basil, smoked mozzarella) or rotisserie options like Rocky Free Range Chicken and Creekstone Farms Prime Rib accompanied with guest’s choice of a side and sauce. Signature sides include comfort foods like Roasted Potato Wedges and Cauliflower Mash, while sauces include selections like Jamaican Jerk Marmalade, Cucumber Feta Yogurt, and Umami. Doughbird will also serve salads like Heirloom Tomato & Quinoa (shaved cauliflower, oregano, cucumber, feta, tossed pine nut); folded sandwiches like Barbeque Pulled Chicken; and appetizers that include Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings and Truffle Cheese Stromboli.

Fancy a Cocktail?

The full bar will serve wine, beer, and specialty cocktails like the Gin & Tonic #22 (Nolet’s gin, Montenegro, mint, lime, fever tree Mediterranean tonic) and Afternoon Tea (peach-infused rock sake, green mango tea, Aperol, clover honey).

Don’t Forget Dessert

Leave feeling good after desserts like Warm Butterscotch Cream Cake and “The Elvis” (peanut butter and chocolate parfait, banana, whipped cream, bacon sandies).

Doughbird is Hiring, Too

If you’re in need of a job and wanting to get in on the first floor of the Sam Fox empire, the restaurant will be hosting a job fair on February 27th and they are looking to fill a variety of positions in order to staff their 120 person restaurant team.

The restaurant is scheduled to officially open on March 28th and will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
