Second Location in Works for Cuisine & Wine Bistro

We have some really exciting news! One of our favorite restaurants in Gilbert is expanding and opening a second location.

Fabrice and Mairead Buschtetz, owners of Cuisine & Wine Bistro will be a second location in the former home of both Earnest and Cork at The Promenade in Chandler in August.

“We visited for the first time in April and loved the restaurant,” said Mairead. “The new location has a wonderful kitchen, with endless possibilities. It was love at first sight for Fabrice! There is a separate dining room there, too, for private events.”

The new location will possess the  same name and will feature the same menu guests have grown to love and expect as the original locations. Chef Fabrice will be in charge of the kitchen at the new location while son, Steven, will be manning the kitchen at the original location.

The new location will hold about the same number of seats as the Gilbert location, but with a much larger kitchen, Chef Fabrice will be allowed more creativity.

“Also, we are planning to be open for Sunday brunch,” Mairead said. “Not immediately, but within a month or so of opening we plan to add the extra day in Chandler.”

Cuisine & Wine Bistro is currently hiring for the new location, with a few employees already training in Gilbert. They anticipate hiring 10 or more individuals to staff the kitchen, bar and dining room in Chandler as well as up to three new positions in Gilbert.

While many restaurants struggle during the first year of business, Cuisine & Wine Bistro has excelled. It’s compelling mixture of French cuisine, an exclusive wine list and family-run friendliness keeps loyal patrons returning. While that success is important, it’s the family behind the business that touches the hearts and loyalties of its patrons.
Mairead, a native of Ireland, went after her dreams in Paris shortly after finishing school in her teens. It was there she met a motorcycle-riding chef who had his own American dream. Fabrice, who is the third generation of his family to own and operate restaurants, knew that some day he would make the move from his native France to the United States.
When they came with their children in 2013, the family of car lovers bought Desert Car Care McQueen, a Gilbert auto shop less than 2 miles from their restaurant. Two years later, a “for lease” sign appeared in the former MWC Bistro window and Fabrice knew it was time to get back into the kitchen and take his family with him.
Working daily with their children and a daughter-in-law is one of the import aspects of their American dream. “Our family members are dedicated and passionate about their work, which insures always the same quality in our work,” Mairead said. “And don’t forget that Fabrice has been running kitchens since the age of 18 and that was 29 years ago.”
That experience, dedication and hard work is a winning combination for both he family and the patrons of their restaurants, who leave with bellies full of delicious French food and a tiny Irish lilt wishing them a good evening.
