Mad For Margaritas: Embrace National Margarita Day!

I can’t think of any cocktail that represents Arizona more than the classic margarita. We’re not alone in our love for the tart tincture as the whole country is invited to celebrate National Margarita Day on Monday, February 22nd.

It’s essentially your duty as an American and Arizonan to get out there and get your margarita on. So where should you go for that perfect marg?

Sierra Bonita Grill
Celebrate at Sierra Bonita Grill with all day specials. From open to close throughout the whole restaurant, Sierra Bonita will offer $6 happy hour pricing on two, popular made fresh margaritas. The Fresh Squeezed Margarita is shaken with reposado tequila, orange liqueur, fresh squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar. The Pomegranate Margarita features pomegranate liqueur, reposado tequila, orange liqueur, a splash of orange juice, and homemade sweet and sour mix.

Tilted Kilt
“The best looking sports pub you’ve ever seen” takes a Celtic spin on traditional margaritas. The Irish Margarita is a Tilted Kilt favorite made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Patrón Citrónge, agave nectar and fresh lime juice. This non-traditional spin on the classic Mexican drink will have you coming back for more.

Kelly’s at Southbridge
Kelly’s offers a sweet and fruity version of the traditionally sour Mexican cocktail. The Pomarita is made with Clase Azul Plata Tequila, La Pinta Pomegranate, muddled lime and simple syrup. This tasty cocktail pairs deliciously with chipotle crab cakes for a perfect happy hour treat.

Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill
This European gastropub offers a wide variety of margaritas that are perfect for National Margarita Day. Stop by for happy hour and enjoy the Blood Orange Margarita made with El Jimador Tequila, blood orange puree, agave nectar, muddled oranges, and lime sweet and sour. Feeling a little more adventurous? Try their spicy Habanero Margarita made with tequila, triple sec, citrus and habanero peppers. This spicy citrus combination will definitely excite your taste buds.

On the Border
On The Border, the Official Restaurant of National Margarita Day, will celebrate by offering its 12 oz. House Margarita–Frozen or on the rocks – for just $2 all day, where legally acceptable. The icy cold favorite will pair perfectly with complimentary endless chips and fresh, house-made salsa.
National Margarita Day begins a month-long celebration at On The Border of the most popular cocktail in the world. Roaring Fork will be celebrating in style on Monday, February 22^nd with an array of specialty and signature margaritas all day long!  Guests can enjoy happy hour pricing of $2.00 ALL Night Long at Roaring Fork beginning at 4:00pm! Roaring Fork’s $5 margaritas will be the Huckleberry Frozen Margarita and their Famous Margarita.

Salty Sow
Salty Sow Restaurants in Scottsdale will be celebrating National Margarita Day in style on Monday, February 22^ndwith an array of specialty and signature margaritas all day long!  Guests can enjoy happy hour pricing of $2.00 off from 4:00pm-6:30pm. Their special margaritas that will range from $7-$9 on Monday will be their Curly Tail, Blanche, Little Larry, Wallow and Blanche Royale.

Modern Margarita
Its seems a no-brainer that Modern Margarita would get excited about National Margarita Day, having margarita right there in their name. Not only do they have an array of delightful margaritas to choose from, they are also gluten-free now! With more than 60 highland and lowland Blanco, Reposado and Anejo tequilas the margarita possibilities are seemingly endless. You can also enjoy theses drinks in 12 ounce, 16 ounce and shareable 60 ounce portions (where applicable).
