Take Your Tailgating To The Bank!

One of the best parts of football season is tailgating and all that goes into it. More often than not you’re going to find cold beverages, great friends and excellent food. I happen to know some die hard Cardinals fans that look forward to game day all week, bring out some canopies, comfy chairs and only the best of the best as far as food goes.

Chevron has created the Game Day Chef Challenge, a way to trade in your best tailgating dish for $25,000! The contest is open to residents of Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington.

 The Rules

• You create your award winning Game Day dish, which must include one food or beverage item that can be purchased at a Chevron or Texaco station.
• Submit your recipe making sure to include a photo of a valid Texaco or Chevron receipt that shows the purchase of one or more ingredient as well a photo of the original recipe, a recipe name and a photo of the final dish.
• The Arizona Regional competition will take place on October 26th at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
• Share your approved submission with your friends and family to encourage votes. Your approved submission will be listed on the Gallery page which will make it easy to find and vote for.  The submission and voting period ends on September 30th.

What Happens Next

• After the entry period has closed, the top 15 recipes with the highest number of votes from each region will be judged based on appearance, originality and creativity as well as the number of Chevron or Texaco ingredients.
• The top 5 regional chefs will be invited to compete in a live cook-off at a football game in their region where they will be given 1 hour to prepare, cook and plate their dish for the panel of judges to taste and rate.
• Each Regional Cook-Off winner will then be invited to The Game Day Chef Challenge Grand Finale on January 1st. The Finale will be held at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California where they will compete for $25,000 in Chevron with Techron promotional cards.

The public is welcome to attend the competition event on 10/26 and if you bring a can of food to be donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank you will get a $3 voucher for Chevron.
