freschef: Mesa-based company offers chef-designed, locally-sourced, convenient meals available at Fry’s

As a busy mother of two small boys, I sometimes (read: almost all the time) feel torn in a million directions. As I meander through my day, I am constantly running lists in my head. When is this or that one’s next Doctor’s appointment? Do we have enough milk or bread to get through the week? Did we forget to put out the recycle bin this morning? The question that most often runs through my head is: What should we have for dinner?! That question alone can bring on a slew of others: Should I go for fast or healthy? Often times that’s really the way things work out. While I am embracing an entirely new lifestyle, and attempting to bring my family along for the ride, I am constantly seeking out easier options and increasing my healthy dinner repertoire. Just in the nick of time comes a new local product that has intrigued the heck out of me. freschef. freschef is a Mesa-based company created by GayeLyn Bates.  She, as well, was a busy working mother constantly struggling to prepare healthy and well-balanced meals for her children. Even after her children were grown she continued to search for the solution, and with that freschef was born.

freschef  is a line of simple, convenient and affordable meals. The meals are presented in 2 serving kits, complete with an easy to follow instruction card and go from the fridge to the table in less than 20 minutes. All the ingredients are sourced locally (brilliant) and the meals are handmade daily in Arizona, in small batches using only the freshest ingredients. The dishes have been designed by a chef and dietician in order to obtain the perfect balance of great taste and great for you ingredients!

You can find freschef products exclusively at local Frys locations in the meat department next to ground beef.  Fry’s and freschef are offering Tastings and Demonstrations at select stores. There are a ton of them going on this Saturday and Sunday, so make sure you check out the freschef Facebook page for locations so you can check them out. You can even download a $2 off coupon at freschef’s Facebook page by following this link.

Also, stay tuned as I will be trying out some of their great products and will be giving you a full recap and overview of my entire experience!  I may even break out the kitchen timer!
