Thursday: Harvest Beer Dinner at Rico’s
Thursday, December 1st, Rico’s American Grill at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak hosts a Harvest Beer Dinner in conjunction with San Tan Brewing with proceeds benefiting the Peoria-based Beer for Brains Foundation. Funds raised will aid brain cancer research, the second leading cancer in young children and the third leading in young adults.
The Harvest Beer Dinner, inspired by the SanTan Brewing’s new seasons 12 Daze Caramel Spiced Amber Ale (officially launched on November 18th) will begin at 6:30pm with an appetizer reception of small bites and SanTan beer, followed by a full four-course meal, paired expertly with the seasonal craft beers. Chef Ken Arneson and a representative from SanTan Brewing will be on hand to explain the dishes and their pairing choices at the start of each course.
Menu highlights include:
- Seared jumbo sea scallops with sweet onion caramel, crispy potato tuiles and shaved candied beets. Paired with Hefeweizen Wheat.
- Beer-braised short ribs with Tempe Mill polenta and shaved black truffle, finished with roasted onion jus. Paired with Devil’s Ale.
- Harvest pumpkin mouse, Chantilly cream, red chili caramel and brown sugar “soil”. Paired with 12 Daze Caramel Spiced Amber Ale.
