Last Tuesdays at Monti’s
Monti’s Las Casa Vieja in Tempe is celebrating its 55th Anniversary and will launch an exciting three-part Culinary Masters Series on Tuesday, February 22nd.
The last Tuesday of every month, Monti’s will be bringing in local culinary masters to spotlight their talents and mix things up in the kitchen. Monti’s is known for its time-tested classic dishes, so what better way to rouse up their favorites than to lend an apron to these local chefs and their identifiably innovative cuisine.
Restaurant owner, Michael Monti, speaks about the series, “We’ve always stuck with our classics, and those are what people have continued coming back for over the past 55 years, but we wanted to bring in these innovative local chefs to offer a new twist on our favorites. To have chefs of their caliber in our kitchen is amazing, not only for us but for our guests, and it should be fun to see how their chefs’ toques look against our usual boots and chaps attire. With a historic environment like ours and talent like this, these events may be among the most memorable Monti’s has ever hosted.”
- First up is Chef Eddie Matney of Eddie’s House on Tuesday, February 22nd from 5pm-10pm.
- Executive Chef Beau MacMillan of elements at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain will continue the series on Tuesday, March 29th from 5pm-10pm.
- Chef Matt Carter of Zinc Bistro and The Mission will finish the series on April 25th from 5pm-10pm.
Each chef will prepare a specialty dinner menu that will be available for one night in addition to Monti’s regular offerings.
