While, for some, the first experience with ramen may have has something to do with a sodium laden 25 cent package, these days ramen is all grown up and after having graduated from college and done a little living it is now showing some real class.
For some time now, Chef Joshua Herbert of POSH Improvisational Cuisine, has been doing his part to get diners to see ramen in a new light with his late night ramen dinners.
As the popularity grows Chef Hebert is joining up with Chefs Jared Lupin and Rebecca Noorda of Umami Ramen in Tempe to create Ramen Swap 2015. The event is a two part series in which the chefs will guest chef at each others restaurants, resulting in an epic dining event.
The first Swap will take place on Tuesday, March 24th from 5 to 9pm at POSH. The event will feature an a la carte menu featuring 4 styles of ramen, Oknomiyaki along with a variety of Japanese beverages.
Stay tuned for details on the 2nd installment dinner to be hosted at Umami in early May.
