I love that our local food community is, well, a true community. You see it with the Arizona Seven and the 7 Chef Fund Up, all of the cool collaboration dinners around town and now with KoSo Phoenix Mentor Dinner. There is so much love and respect bouncing around within our great state, and all of the recent events have me falling more in love with its players!
KoSo Phoenix is a collaboration between Donald Hawk and Brent Kille. Their mission is to create unique and unexpected dining experiences. The name, KoSo, is derived from Donald being Korean and Brent’s undying love for southern food. The partnership is dynamic, dramatic and delicious!
The KoSo Phoenix Mentor Dinner will feature some of the Valley’s up and coming chefs who have created a unique menu based on the mentors that have paved the way for them. This four-course menu, with cocktail pairings courtesy of Michael Liberatore, will take place on June 11th. ($80)
Jessie Aguirre (Mentor | Scott Holmes)
Ben Graham (Mentor | Bernie Kantak)
Donald Hawk (Mentor | Claudio Uriciulo)
Brent Kille (Mentor | Stephen Jones)
Bonus | Brent and Donald will be collaborating on a snack inspired by Jacob Cutino.
Tickets were limited to start with but there are still a few left. Make sure to get yours now. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Chef Kelly Fletcher Fund and the Nami Foundation. Great food for a great cause!
