Expanding to Serve More Patients

Opening this summer, the new facility will be almost three times larger than the current kitchen. The expanded Joy Bus Diner will be 100% non-profit, with all proceeds going to support The Joy Bus’ mission. It will also feature an expanded organic food pantry and a certified teaching kitchen.

Call for Donations and Diners

The Joy Bus is calling for donations and diners to support their cause. They need over $5 million to complete the construction. Every cent raised goes directly to bringing hot meals and caring smiles to cancer patients throughout Phoenix and the surrounding areas.

Inspiration Behind The Joy Bus

In 2011, founder and chef Jennifer Caraway created The Joy Bus to provide chef-inspired healthy meals for Phoenix cancer patients returning home. Caraway comforted her friend Joy, who had ovarian cancer, with delicious food. In 2016, Caraway opened The Joy Bus Diner to help fund the program and has since delivered thousands of meals to cancer patients.
