2016 has been a crazy year and most are more than ready to bid it adieu, myself included. If you are looking to have an epic meal and celebration to close out 2016, we have gathered up some of the best spots for your 2016 New Years Eve in Phoenix. So where will you be ushering in 2017 and all the promise it brings? Whether you are looking for low-key or an all out bash, we’ve got you covered.

Cocktail Bar Cart & Prix Fixe Dinner at The Gladly

The Basics | No need to fight for a spot at the bar! Treat yourself to The Gladly’s luxe New Year’s Eve Bar Cart Service. A bar cart bearing French 75’s and a variety of other champagne cocktails, as well as whiskey refreshments including Old Fashioneds will be making the rounds for tableside cocktail crafting. Looking for a formal meal to pair with your imbibing? Treat yourself to Chef Bernie’s three-course prix fixe New Year’s Eve Dinner. Dinner and Bar Cart Service begin at 3pm and carry on until close. New Year’s Eve at The Market + Bar by Jennifer’s

The Basics | Dinner seating will begin at 5pm and run through 10pm. All guests will receive a complimentary glass of bubbles to toast the incoming year. Reservations are required.
Guest will enjoy an amuse-bouche of black-eyed peas with duck confit. You will be able to opt between three different salad choices: winter salad, Caesar salad or you could go for a bread board. For the soup course, guests can choose between corn bisque with popcorn and shrimp bisque. Entree options are individual lobster pot pie and porcini crusted tenderloin. Dessert will be a decadent Callebaut chocolate mousse followed up with a European roast (decaf) with cream and sugar. If you opt for the wine pairing, you will enjoy Hogwash Rose, Albert Bichot Macon Village, Lola Chardonnay or Argiano NC Super Tuscan Blend, and Bollinger Special Cuvee Half Bottle

New Year’s Eve at Coup Des Tartes

The Basics | Coup Des Tartes invites revelers to enjoy an exquisite four-course dinner in an intimate setting.  First course options are wild mushroom risotto, swiss chard tarte or a potato galette. Second course options range from lobster bisque, a roasted butternut squash, and beet salad or a black grape and frisee salad. For your entrée, you can pick from a crab stuffed shrimp and filet duet, oven roasted lobster, a lamb shank, a porcini encrusted sea bass or a Portobello mushroom cap. For dessert, you can indulge in a raspberry studded brown butter tarte, triple chocolate mousse cake or a white chocolate lime mousse tarte.

Hassle-Free NYE at Bitter & Twisted

The Basics | Reservations are now being accepted for this one-night-only affair where every guest is guaranteed a seat or table. No standing-room-only madness here, as guests are invited to dress up in their most decadent, 1970s-style disco outfits, and then get ready for world-class cocktails and free-flowing bubbly, including a traditional midnight toast. Doors open at 8:30 pm and DJ Y Knot will be spinning throughout the evening. However, reservations are required so please click here to fill out your online reservation request. Once your completed form is submitted a B&T team member will reach out to secure a credit card for the booking.
The Bucks | Packages range from $55 per person to $380 depending on where you would like to sit for the evening, with add-ons for additional toasting bubbles.

Ring in 2017 at Tomaso’s Italian Restaurant

The Basics | Put a classic spin on your New Year’s Eve this year and ring in 2017 with authentic Italian cuisine at Tomaso’s. Guests can enjoy homemade pasta favorites like paglia fieno with porcini cremini & truffle, with spinach and egg pasta with pancetta, wild mushroom, truffle, and parmigiana or the eggplant torte & butternut squash ravioli with multi-layered eggplant baked with cheese fondue and tomato sauce. Guests also have the option to choose from “Food for the Gods” including specialty items like the royal crustacean cioppino complete with lobster tail, prawns, scallops, Alaskan king crab, seabass, clams, mussels, tomato-wine sauce on squid ink spaghetti. Tomaso’s will be open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve Dinner Menu at Gertrude’s

The Basics | Ring in the New Year at Gertrude’s, the highly touted full-service restaurant located just inside the Desert Botanical Garden. The restaurant is featuring a three-course, prix fixe dinner menu on Friday, December 30 and Saturday, December 31. A credit card is required to reserve a space. Sierra Bonita Grill

The Basics | Get the New Year’s Eve celebration started early with happy hour in the bar area from 3 to 6 p.m. Munch on $6 appetizers, such as Sizzlin’ Peppers stuffed with a blend of four cheeses, served sizzling on a unique cast iron skillet, or Carne Asada Street Tacos with cheese, chile de arbol salsa, marinated red onion and salsa de guacamole. Pair the appetizers with a $6 cocktail, such as a Fresh Squeezed Margarita, Dark and Stormy, or Sangria.  For New Year’s Eve dinner, Sierra Bonita Grill will be serving its regular dinner menu, in addition to two Southwestern specials created for the occasion. The very popular Prime Rib dinner ($38) features a 14 oz. smoked prime rib, served with green chile mashed potatoes, horseradish cream and beef au jus. For a lighter dinner option, try the Pan Seared Jumbo Scallops ($39) served over a salad of tri-colored orzo, prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, organic baby arugula, toasted almonds and habanero champagne beurre blanc

The Herb Box

The Basics | Celebrate New Year’s Eve on Saturday, December 31 from 5 to p.m. with a memorable dinner at The Herb Box, inspired by James Beard Award-winning, Michelin-Starred Chef, Alex Stratta. Besides its regular dinner menu, all three Valley locations of The Herb Box will serve a special four-course prix fixe menu. The meal begins with Butternut Squash Soup with duck confit, wild mushrooms, pepitas and spiced cream, plus an Herb Grilled Shrimp and Fuji Apple Salad with arugula, radicchio and frisee, with a balsamic vinaigrette. For the main course, choose from three different dishes. A Tenderloin of Beef with Red Wine Sauce is served with horseradish potato gratin and candied shallots. Roasted Chicken is accompanied by Swiss chard and caramelized parsnips and roasted garlic and parmigiano polenta. For a seafood option, try the Pan Seared Sea Bass with orange glazed fennel, oven-dried tomatoes, clementines and basil butter sauce. Finish the meal with a Chocolate Resolution featuring dark chocolate, raspberries and cinnamon crisp.

Joe’s Midnight Run NYE Prix Fixe Dinner

The Basics | Joe’s Midnight Run in Central Phoenix will be open for New Year’s Eve and will offer a prix fixe menu with three seatings. They are taking reservations of any size by email at info@joesmidnightrun.com or by phone at (480)459-4467. Starter options are pulpo, tuna crudo, or a grilled romaine salad. For your main course you can select salmon, duck mole, or a filet. Dessert options include your choice of poached pear or a chocolate cheesecake.
The Bucks | The 5pm and 7pm seating are $65 per person (wine pairing for an additional $25) and the 10pm seating is $75 per person (wine pairing for an additional $25) The 10pm seating also includes party favors and a champagne toast.

Pomelo at the Orchard

The Basics | Pomelo at The Orchard is featuring a New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu for two with the help of luxury champagne, Veuve Clicquot! The special menu, created by Chef Javi Perez, is offered on Saturday, December 31st, from 5pm to 10pm. Seating is limited so RSVP by calling 602-633-2600 and mention you would like the New Year’s Eve menu. Reservations will be taken with a minimum of two in a party but the more friends the merrier! If the entire table takes advantage of the prix fixe menu they will also enjoy 10% off any bottle of wine or champagne. There will be no modifications or substitutions and suggested wine pairings below are available for purchase. What’s on the menu? To start you can choose between a calamari & shrimp fritti or a Chef’s board to share. You’ll also get to share a Pomelo chopped or wedge salad. For your main course, you can opt for a New York strip, short ribs, or pan roasted wild salmon. Dessert brings a salted caramel cookie with vanilla gelato, chocolate sauce, and fresh strawberries.
