Posted on: May 10th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Are you ready for the first Tempe Town Lake Hotel? AC Hotels by Marriott® will be opening up AC Hotel Phoenix Tempe/Downtown next month with the brand’s first hotel in the Western United States. The close proximity of this new hotel to Downtown Tempe, ASU, Mill Avenue and the growing number of corporate parks just off the shore of Tempe Town Lake will prove to be a convenient location for anyone visiting Tempe for work or play.

Tempe Town Lake Hotel to open next month

“We’re looking forward to becoming part of the fabric of Tempe, a dynamic city with incredible art, entertainment, and culinary offerings,” said Toni Stoeckl, Vice President of Marriott International’s Lifestyle Brands. “Our first AC Hotel location in the West is designed for those creative, well-traveled, entrepreneurial spirits who are constantly on the go and who appreciate the oasis of a well-designed hotel that allows them to welcome moments of tranquility, be present and connect with others.”

This new Tempe Town Lake hotel will bring together the beauty of classic modern designs with European and Spanish roots. AC Hotels was founded in 1998 and has grown to become one of the most well-respected hotel brands in Spain. The brand formed a joint venture with Marriott International in 2011 and then later launched AC Hotels by Marriott globally into France, Denmark and the U.S. Based on a belief that purposeful design improves lives, AC Hotels relieves guests from what is unnecessary, providing thoughtful moments that elevate their stay and help them focus on what’s important. Guests receive only the items and service they need, without paying for those they don’t. The result is elegant, yet unpretentious style, innovative beverage and food offerings and meaningful experiences for guests and locals.

Premium touches are balanced with comfortable service and one signature element of the brand is an innovative food and beverage program. Their AC Lounge provides a twist on the traditional hotel bar. You’ll find that your experience includes local craft beers, specialty wines on tap expertly made cocktails along with a selection of tapas-style small bites. The AC Kitchen will serve European-inspired continental breakfasts with a selection of flaky croissants, freshly sliced artisanal La Quercia prosciutto and Nespresso coffee. You’ll be able to enjoy these offerings indoors or on their outdoor patio.

The guests rooms will have a sleek minimalist design, providing a stylish but unfussy alternative to the standard one-size-fits-all hotel rooms you may find when traveling. You’ll encounter muted colors and a monochromatic scheme throughout the property that showcases a timeless design that is modern and sleek. Their 159 guest rooms boast clean lines and hardwood floors along with furniture that is elevated to create a sense of space, and crisp white line to create a look that;s both refined and elegant. The architectural firm, HKS Phoenix, took inspiration from the earth and water and incorporated them into the structural elements of the property while still encouraging exploration of the culturally diverse city beyond the hotel walls. Décor and furnishings are designed to add a splash of color to the soothing hotel palette and expertly curated local art adorns the walls.

The six-story hotel features a rooftop pool with views of Tempe and Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the iconic
“A” Mountain. The AC Library, which serves as a central work area for guests to be both connected and inspired, offers complimentary computers, wireless printing, and two private media salons. Additional
hotel amenities include the AC Store with local and artisanal offerings, 650 square feet of meeting space, complimentary Wi-Fi and covered garage parking. The new lifestyle hotel is AC Hotels by Marriott’s tenth property in North America and is part of a growing portfolio of more than 100 hotels expected to open in the next few years in the U.S. and Latin America.

The AC Hotel at Tempe Town Lake is located at 100 E. Rio Salado Pkwy. in Tempe. You can call 480.642.6140 for more information or reservations.
