National Cheeseburger Day is approaching. On average Americans eat nearly 50 billion burgers a year! While mind blowing, that translates to three burgers a week for every single person in the United States. I suppose that answers the age old question, “Where’s the beef?”
National Cheeseburger DayIf you are looking to celebrate with the rest of the nation, here are a few places that can accommodate your honoring of the holiday on September 18th.

Jewel’s Bakery and Café
National Cheeseburger Day is just around the corner and if anyone knows how to celebrate, its Jewel’s Bakery and Café. Sure, they may get more attention for their gluten free-fare and sweet treats, but this gluten-free hybrid bakery and café’s beef patties pack a powerful punch! At Jewel’s they’ll be celebrating with two versions of their Deluxe Burger for just $10.
Deluxe Burger $10–Angus patty, aged white cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion served on our signature bun with fries. Poblano Deluxe Burger $10–Angus patty, poblano chilies, caramelized onion, avocado and pepper jack cheese on our signature bun with fries

Jewel’s Bakery and Café is located at 4041 E Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018.

Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill
Located at Tempe Marketplace, this gastropub offers 52 local, craft, import and domestic beers on draft plus unique specialty cocktails. Sink your teeth into their BBQ White Cheddar Burger (Newcastle BBQ sauce, white cheddar, crispy onion strings and garlic aioli) or their Pepper Bacon Cheese Burger (choice of cheddar, Swiss or pepper jack cheese, served with pepper bacon, burger sauce and pickles). Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill is located at 2000 East Rio Salado Parkway, Suite 1041 in Tempe.

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery
This National Cheeseburger Day, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery is THE place to celebrate. The national food holiday just so happens to coincide with the restaurant’s Big Arse Burger Bowl Challenge. The 13 week promotion, which is running now through November 2, features a menu of eight authentic burgers that were created by the restaurant’s beer and liquor vendors. When guests order off the menu, they will get the opportunity to visit the Tilted Kilt website to vote for their favorite. People can also take a quiz to find out which burger best suits them. The burgers were also created to pair with a specific beer or cocktail creating an overall great dining experience for the guest. The winning burger and paired beer/cocktail will be featured on Tilted Kilt’s menu for the next year. Tempt your taste buds with The Banger – topped with sweet & spicy sausage, Dewar’s caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo or try out the Wicked Boston – topped with American cheese, crispy maple pepper bacon, Samuel Adams Boston Lager caramelized onion relish and secret sauce, lettuce and tomato. While the nation’s favorite NFL and College teams will be battling it out on the field this fall to show who’s best, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, a sports bar that pays homage to the old public houses of America, England, Scotland and Ireland, is gearing up for its own battle with the The Big Arse Burger Bowl Challenge. Tilted Kilt has five locations in the Valley.
