Ling & Louie’s Presents Whiskies of the World Dinner

LING & LOUIE'S PRESENTS WHISKIES OF THE WORLD COCKTAIL DINNER

What specifically do you know about whiskey? I know a few things, the most important of which is that September is a 30-day celebration of the “water of life”.

It is believed the distillation of the world’s most popular spirit dates back to the Babylonians of Mesopotamia in the 2nd millennium BC (Wikipedia says so, folks.) Distillation has changed profoundly since then and has grown into an art all over the world.

Random and Interesting Facts About Whiskey

If you are looking to get thoroughly immersed in all things whiskey, have a great meal and perhaps learn a little more, you will definitely want to check out Ling & Louie’s Whiskies of the World cocktail dinner at the Scottsdale location. I recently had time to preview what the dinner will comprise and every dish and drink had me thinking more and more about converting to a life of only whiskey drinking! The spirit was perfectly intermingled into the dishes, enhancing their flavors and elevating the over all experience.

While Ling & Louie’s has often taken the month of September to celebrate National Bourbon Heritage Month, but they mixed things up a bit this year and include bourbon with whiskeys from all over the world, including Japan. The cocktail and menu items undoubtedly highlight the diversity of this spirit.

“We’re taking it up a notch this year by incorporating more whiskey selections in our menu. Infusing whiskey into our Modern Asian cuisine creates unique, mouthwatering dishes unlike any other Asian restaurant. Specialty cocktails this year include Irish Bubbles, Nikka Sour, The Last Samurai, Speyside Tea, Louie’s Old Fashioned and New Wave Sazerac” explains John Banquil, Director of Brand Development for Ling & Louie’s.

Each course of the Whiskies of the World cocktail dinner will feature a menu item along with a specially crafted paired cocktail.
