A Hungry Monk is a Thirsty Monk

Porter & Stout Fest?  Count us in! Local Chandler eatery, Hungry Monk is featuring the fest starting today, January13th and running through the 4 day weekend.  Proprietors, Jim and Carol Lolli, will be spotlighting a diverse selection of Porter and Stout beers beginning at 4pm today with the tapping of the Firestone Walker Reserve Cask Conditioned Ale, which is the only one being shipped to the Valley in 2011.

With no cover charge the event is sure to draw in many beer aficionados across the Valley.

Besides the Firestone Walker Reserve, Hungry Monk will also spotlight Left Hand’s Fade to Black, Leinenkugals Big Eddy, Firestone’s Velvet Merkin, Dogfish Brewing’s World Wide Stout (a rare 18.0 ABV brew), Dogfish Brewing’s Chicory Stout, Odells Bourbon Stout, Kona’s Pipeline Porter, Sonoran Inebriator, BJ’s Chocolate Stout, Left Hands Nitro Milk Stout and Dechuttes Black Butte Porter.  Two bottled Stouts  will also be featured: Firestone Walker 14th Anniversary and Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.

Jim Lolli stated, “We love ‘big’ beers at the Hungry Monk, and this spectacular selection of Porters and Stouts will be a craft beer lovers dream.”

I personally, cannot wait to try out these and many of the other beers that Hungry Monk has on tap!
