Apple-Walnut Charoset Recipe

Apple-Walnut Charoset Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 medium Gala or Fuji apples peeled, cored and cut into chunks
  • 1.5 cups walnut halves lightly toasted and cooled
  • .5 cups sweet red wine like Manischewitz Extra Heavy Malaga (or grape juice as a substitute)
  • 1.5 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Give walnuts a quick pulse in a food processor
  2. Add apples and reminaing ingredients and process until just blended and spreadable, but not too mushy
  3. Store covered at room temperature until ready to serve. Can refrigerate if you prefer chilled
