With Hanukkah just a few days away, we wanted to be sure you knew all about the 2017 Phoenix Hanukkah Happenings. From restaurant dining and take away to parties and events, there are sure to be enough latkes and jelly donuts for everyone!
2017 Phoenix Hanukkah Happenings
Come join PJ Library, Central Phoenix Neighborhood and Jewish Tuition Organization for a night of bouncing, latke tasting, dreidel spinning, face painting, crafts and FUN!! Families are invited to bring in their latkes for a potluck to share with the community along with their menorahs to light. Families who keep kosher may bring in their own meal. No other food or beverage allowed to bring into Altitude. Pizza will be available for purchase. Buy tickets at the link above for special pricing! Prices will increase if you pay at the door. *Families will be required to purchase grip socks at Altitude or bring their own grip socks to jump. A waiver will be required to fill out prior to jumping. Tickets range from $12.61 to $15.78.
Chabad West Valley Menorah Lighting
On December 17th, you’re invited to celebrate Hanukkah with a Grand Menorah lighting complete with activities, raffle prizes, games for the kids as well as live entertainment. Traditional light bites will be served at this free event. Be sure to be at Fountain Park by 5pm.
Chompie’s
If you’re looking for options, Chompie’s is always ready to accommodate. They have dine-in, take-away and a la carte options for your Hanukkah celebration. If you want all the details to be taken care of you can get a full dinner, fit to serve 8, for only $219. This meal includes matzo ball soup, your choice of sliced beef brisket, roasted chicken or over roasted turkey all with challah stuffing. You can also choose two sides like latkes, roasted peppers, homestyle green beans and glazed carrot medley. Finish up your meal with Lovey Borenstein’s special apple strudel and rugelach. There are also a ton of takeaway options to supplement your meal like raisin challah, Jewish rye bread, matzo ball soup, homemade brisket gravy, applesauce, mashed sweet potatoes, mini black and white cookies, chocolate babka and Hanukkah cookies. In addition to these take away options there will be a special “Chrismukkah” menu available from December 12th through January 1st. This special menu includes soup or salad, a choice of turkey breast with stuffing and cranberry relish, beef brisket with gravy, stuffed cabbage rolls, filet of salmon or turkey breast, two sides, rolls and desert for only $22.99 per person and $10.49 for children under 10.
Crescent Ballroom
The Crescent Ballroom is hosting a free menorah lighting and Hanukkah celebration on December 12th, beginning at 5:30pm. The event is open to all ages and will feature latke specials, homemade jelly donuts and certified kosher Brooklyn Beer on tap as well as a special Hanukkah playlist.
Miracle Mile Deli
From December 12th through December 20th, Miracle Mile Deli will be offering up a special Hanukkah meal on their dine-in menu. For just $14, guests can indulge in a brisket plate served with a potato pancake with applesauce, sour cream and a cup of matzo ball soup.
