This cozy, comfortable spot is reminiscent of a family dining room from the familiar seating to the photos and hanging plants. Glai Baan is serving up the best Thai street style fare, with their noodle dishes being what everyone is talking about. Make sure to add on their dumplings and son-in-law eggs to your order. (And we hear their adult teas are to Thai for!) // 2333 E. Osborn Road, Phoenix, 602.595.5881

The Café is actually part of their vocational development program which will be an 8-month course specifically designed to get participants back on their feet. Open for breakfast and lunch, you’ll find items like chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, tacos, burros and enchiladas. They are literally transforming lives, one meal at a time. //1516 E. The contrast of industrial and modern in the interior of The Sicilian Butcher work well in a way you might not imagine. Meatballs and charcuterie are the stars of the show here, and with good reason. The choose your own meatball adventure is a stroke of genius. Choose from 11 different varieties of meatballs, 9 different sauces and 10 different bases, or bottoms. Twisted Curry

This intriguing fast-casual Indian spot is located just near the Harkins theatre, making it perfect for pre or post movie watching. The concept is similar to that of Subway or Chipotle, but only in the “build your own” idea. You’ll find authentic Indian flavors in every dish, but their curries are where it’s at. We are also loving the masala fries and the fact that offer a kids menu. // 7000 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, 480.207.1925, twistedcurry.com

This new spot features a vibrant dining room with a pressed tin ceiling, little pops of color here and there along with some exposed brick. Their brunch menu hits all the marks, especially the loaded breakfast taters. Who could resist a hash brown casserole smothered in white gravy? Add in some pepper jack cheese, an egg your way, chorizo, tomatoes and either ranch or sour cream and you have the makings of my dream breakfast. Add in a mimosa flight and call it a day! //2601 N.
