 A unique series of Oktoberfest events is scheduled in Uptown Phoenix with a two-week OktoberPhest Central celebration at The Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen (Central Kitchen).

“We save the best brats in Phoenix for OktoberPhest Central,” says Rich Stark, founder of the Central Kitchen. “We’re packing a month’s worth of fun into two weeks of great beer, great food, weird German hats and things that we only do in October.
The two-week celebration will take place Mon., Oct. 9 through Sun., Oct. 22. All activities will take place at the Central Kitchen, located at the Crown on 7th at 5813 North 7th Street, just south of Bethany Home Road, in Phoenix.
 

OktoberPhest Central events include:

 

Mon., Oct. 9 – Sun., Oct. 22 

Brew-lette. In this brew-themed version of roulette, you spin the wheel to find out how much you will pay for your pint of beer. Options include: full price, $1 off, half-off a Buy a Buddy a Brew, a free Buy a Buddy a Brew, $5 off Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen T-shirts and buy one get one free T-shirts.
 
OktoberPhest Central Selfies. German themed hats, clothing and other props will travel from table to table for guests to take #OktoberPhestCentral Selfies. Guests who post their photos to social media with the hashtag #CentralKitchen will receive $1 off their brew.
 
Brats & Brews 4 Rescues. Guests can enjoy a mouthwatering brat steamed in King George Amber and paired with a Phoenix Ale Brewery pint for only $12 during OktoberPhest Central. Central Kitchen will donate $2 from each Brats & Brews 4 Rescues combo to the Arizona Small Dog Rescue.

Friday, Oct. 13

Firkin Friday. Bartenders at Central Kitchen will tap the Harvest Hop Chowda firkin at 5:00 p.m. The firkin will remain on the bar all night as guests order the juicy IPA enhanced by a  special dry hop of simcoe and citra. Giving off flavors of: pine, passionfruit, guava and a fruity dankness .
A firkin is a specialty, cask-conditioned ale created from an established beer with additional flavors, like pumpkin, raspberry, peach or other flavors added to it. The word firkin describes both the size of the container, about one quarter of a barrel or 80 pints, and the way the beer is created.
 

Saturday, Oct. 14, 10:00 a.m. 

 
Beer & Barre. Join Central Kitchen and TenPoint5 Barre for a morning barre class in the Crown on 7th courtyard. The class will blend resistance training with stretching exercises to achieve long, lean muscles. It is set to choreography that strategically accelerates muscle conditioning and sculpting, and, of course, is paired with a beer to make a great workout even better.
Participants must be at least 21 years of age. Admission costs $10 for the general public and $5 for TenPoint5 Barrre members. Each entry fee includes a 12 ounce can of ice cold beer. Thursday, Oct. 19, 6:30 p.m.  

 
Pizza & Pints with Beer Geeks. Enjoy a four-course meal while learning from some of the top beer experts in the Phoenix area during Pizza and Pints with Beer Geeks. Guests will be treated to a pizza feast that includes the following:
• Course 1: the four course meal begins with a Brats Caesar Salad. Grilled Romaine salad and sliced artisan brats served with shaved parmesan, lemon-anchovy dressing, garlic focaccia croutons and a Santan Oktoberfest Lager.
• Course 2: Fun-Ghi Fretzy Black Iron Pizza with herbed mushrooms, fresh jalapeños and a secret cheese blend and the new Sonoran Scampi Black Iron Pizza topped with chipotle marinated shrimp, secret cheese-blend, roasted garlic, sundried tomato and fresh basil. Course two is perfectly paired with a Goldwater Hop Chowda IPA.
• Course 3: Brew Master Black Iron Pizza topped with house sauce, smoked mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage and bacon and a Mashed Black Iron Pizza which is topped with mashed red skin potatoes, bacon and green onions. Both options are complemented by a King George Amber.
• Course 4: for dessert, enjoy an Ironwood Porter Brownie served with Cali Creamin Cream Ale gelato and chocolate sauce. Paired with a Cali Creamin Cream Ale.
