Top Chef Favorite Richard Blais Debuts Starving for Attention on PodcastOne

I am an absolute and complete sucker for cooking shows. I think that it goes hand in hand with my fascination with chefs and the art of cooking. I watch every show I can, soaking everything in, in the hopes that one day something will click and I will magically be able to see a grouping of ingredients and whip up an amazing meal. Until that happens, I can follow a recipe like no one’s business!

One of my favorite cooking shows is Top Chef and my favorite seasons have included Richard Blaise. His almost boyish charm, sense of humor and inspiring talent are nothing short of impressive and entertaining. Since going back to work full time, I’m not able to watch shows while I work, so podcasts have been my saving grace. They allow for me to educate myself, be entertained and have an auditory distraction. I just got word of a new podcast that is definitely going into the rotation!

Richard Blais and Starving for Attention

The camera-loving chef, author, restaurateur, and television cooking competition judge debuts the Starving for Attention podcast, where he’ll keep the spotlight on his culinary adventures and provide an entertaining, behind-the-scenes look at the world of food.

Listeners will hear from anyone and everyone in the industry, including restaurateurs, television hosts, famous chefs, producers of your favorite cooking and competition shows and more, as they join Blais for spontaneous, back-of-house conversation. They’ll cover what it takes to make it in different parts of the food business, global trends and where the industry overlaps with entertainment. Plus, games, trivia and other wacky moments will make fans part of the conversation. The show is available Tuesdays at PodcastOne.com, the PodcastOne app and Apple Podcasts.

“I’m super excited to take this dive into the food world, and share with our audience the great people in the industry, and work they do, that sometimes go unnoticed,” said Blais. “And they do it all while taking it just serious enough. Our first guest is food critic Besha Rodell, who discuss how she’s maintained her secret identity all these years–where better than a podcast for her story to be heard, but not seen? These stories have all truly been Starving for Attention!”

PodcastOne Founder and Executive Chairman Norman Pattiz said, “Who better to get into the culinary category with than Richard Blais? As a foodie myself, I will be a loyal listener.”
